Hi, no problem with your comment. I literally understand you because I’m confused as hell about the label. They said it’s not a BL, just “BL flavored,” so I was expecting it to be more of a bromance. In the first episode, you can really tell it’s just “BL flavored,” but I didn’t expect the dynamic to go beyond bromance as the story progressed. Still, I can’t really call it a BL since it hasn’t been officially labeled that way.
It just spread around that this drama is “BL,” even though it’s not, so some people are expecting a romantic relationship between the characters. Others are even looking for a kissing scene, even though they already know it’s a student-teacher (tutor) relationship.😭
And honestly, I’m so tired of explaining why this isn’t BL, so I guess it’s up to you if you still want to label it as BL after finishing it.
By the way, it’s not a mistranslation, it’s actually written in the article that this drama is a BL flavored comedy. From what I understand, it’s somewhere in between romantic and platonic love.
it was stated that this is not BL, but a comedy drama with BL elements. it might be somewhere between romantic and platonic love because they didn’t clearly label it as BL. and the manga wasn’t labeled as BL either. bear in mind, toru is a minor, and kishi is in his mid 20s. this is just "BL flavored", the manga is not officially categorized as BL. it’s a slice of life comedy drama mostly about toru’s high school life and his journey to finding his way in the future. it's more on friendship y'all. 🥹
it’s not BL. it was posted on X before it was released that this is not BL, but a comedy drama with BL elements. it might be somewhere between romantic and platonic love because they didn’t clearly label it as BL.
it smells from miles this is not BL - am I correct?
even before it was released, it was already posted on X that it’s a comedy drama with BL elements, but they didn’t clearly say that it’s actually a BL. so you’re right that it’s somewhere in between romantic and platonic love. also, i don’t think the manga was labeled as BL either..
Hi, this is not a hate comment so please don't attack me.😭
First of all, this wasn’t labeled as BL. It’s a comedy drama with BL elements, but it’s not entirely a BL. This was already posted on X even before the drama was released. However, I keep seeing people on social media spreading the idea that it’s BL, and it’s honestly disappointing. I don’t understand why some people keep calling it a BL when it’s clearly not.😭
I understand the feeling of disillusionment because I’ve also been disappointed before when people spread misinformation. It can really ruin your mood. But if you focus on the friendship between Toru-kun and Kishikishi, it’s actually very cute and genuine. There are also some good lessons you can take from the story.
So to anyone reading this comment, I recommend this drama to people who are okay with watching bromance. Just be prepared for the hilarious and exaggerated facial expressions they make throughout the show, lol. It's comedy after all.
Dr. Koji is a real unsung hero. I'm glad this movie highlighted his work and gives him the credit he deserves.
i agree. he changed so many lives and helped them become their true selves so they could live their dreams. a real hero. i cried so much because of him.
