Took a while for me to watch. This was probably my 40th K-drama. It was decent but not the GOAT imho. I was crushing hard on Sunny but pissed at her life decision. Very annoying. The Dok Hwa character was pretty boring except for that one interesting twist in the middle. And Gong Yoo just has that blase look on his face toooo much. Get's kind of repetitive and overall I find him very boring. Overall it's a little over the top with all sorts of characters bucking fate with ease.
I really outing my age, but can I just tell you how awesome it was when the only way you could connect with someone was to either go to their place or call them on the phone? You had suck up the courage and just drop by! Or actually make a conversation. It was actually wayyy more efficient. I am loving seeing that in this show. ☺️ Miss those days 🥹
I'm on episode 7. Does anyone actually evolve or grow in this show? 😂 Finding it hard to pull for anyone. They don't seem to learn. But the late 90s vibe is awesome.
This female lead is a total dork and I love her. Haven't seen her before. JCW is always solid. I always like his shows. He is not very charismatic in this one so far, I presume on purpose 😂😂.
This show is like buying a cream filled donut, but after getting home and biting into it you discover there's no cream inside! Awwww sheeeeeeiiitttt. What a let down. I am sure it is not easy to artfully end a story with so many characters and attractions going on, but this author did not deliver. What is the point of dropping hints at several possible connections, but not a single one comes to fruition except FL/ML? Why bother with the hints in the first. FL's truest friend (roommate) got zilch airtime in the ending. Very bizarre.
watch anything else instead of wasting 16 hours on this
I think the roommate deserved at least 5 minutes of airtime to give it shot with her crush. How lame. There was no satisfying wrap up. The last few episodes were crap.
for a show that had a promising cozy start it plummetted real fast when the love squares or wtv that's called…
K drama writers don't seem to realize there is no need for these love triangles / squares / etc. Plenty of all time great romances / dramas / romcoms where there is a great story without the need for jealousy.
Dang at least have someone throw a pie in Professor Lee's face or something. Egg her car? TP her house? A public humiliation? I am not expecting an American X style curb stomping. But nothing?! She had some comeuppance due. Very unsatisfying.
Wow 고다림 has a heart of gold but things don't sink in fast for her, do they? 🤣🤣 Anyways overall I would say the writers' plot design is very average. Very patchwork. Many unnecessary diversions like sml and the company scandal stuff. Chemistry of leads is insane though and makes it watchable.
