What I particularly liked was how realistic the story was. For example, how the highly attractive, wealthy male boyfriend lead followed the FL, a hypermasculine dour girl boss around like a puppy dog, satisfied with a few crumbs she dropped here and there, and when she decided at some point that she preferred celibacy, he was all for it, planning to stick with her for the long term so he could continue SIMPing. It makes a lot of sense! Many such cases. This is definitely what men prefer.
Lots of hating on Ha-rim in comments. Honestly I don't think she is a bad person, but we are all struggling with our own blind spots. Clearly she insecure, emotionally unstable, and lacks humility. I am sure she will continue to grow as life imparts its lessons.
I was pretty uncomfortable with Benita actually. Felt a little cold hearted for my tastes. Probably just not the right personality for me. But hey if she's a good match for her partner, bravo.
Love Sora but man she is so gorgeous...can't imagine having the guts to even approach. I really empathize with her difficulty opening up and connecting.
Interesting that this one doesn't get as much love. I found 1 & 2 equally enjoyable. Annoying that that μλΌ Seong Je didn't really get humbled though. He needed that smug look wiped off his face. One beef I have...I wish the post-fight swelling and wounds were more realistic. Dudes are getting bashed in the face countless times...next day they're in class with a bandaid.
Some funny moments but just a stupid basis for a plot. FL should have been left nice and cozy to snuggle with her career the rest of her life. I give it a 6.5 because I enjoyed some of the supporting cast and stories. I don't think I would ever rewatch this...that pretty much sums it up: mediocre.
A very good show, if a little heavy on the sitting around drinking scenes. This is my first IU drama, and her screen presence is insane off the charts. You are constantly waiting for her next gesture or comment. She simply dominates any scene she is in. Very impressive young lady. The older and younger brothers took a long damn time to evolve, sort of playing the same schtick the whole show until towards the end. All in all I was very entertained and somewhat unhealthily binged this show over a day and a half.
I think the 6.9 rating is unfair. It's not the greatest K-drama ever but I'll give it a solid 8 for watchability even after 20 years. Not all the characters are completely likable but overall I found myself rooting for most to learn and grow. Interesting also to see the 2 FLs in the spring of their careers. It is an interesting look behind the curtains at the reality of becoming a K star, although I don't know how accurate it is. Ma Sang Mi is clearly the highlight as the awkward underdog you want to see come out on top. I am not saying she does, so no spoiler alert...I still have 4 episodes to go.
Writers had 1st and goal at the 1 yard line and totally choked, fumbled, and came up with the absolute stupidest lamest crappy ending of all time, launching themselves into the hall of infamy, joining the writers of Lost and Game of Thrones.
Gotta say though, if a woman is just straight up aborting interactions and dropping obvious lies repeatedly on multiple dates, just move on, ML!
