Seems like Netflix is turning more into like Disney+ for their original dramas with stronger star-studded casts but fewer episodes short series. Obviously love to see a lot of big names in one show, but also legit missing the old Kdramas with 16-20 episodes that has deeper longer stories that you get to "hang on" to for longer.
only 8 eps ππππ why not atleast 12 (symbolicπ...?)when does it air exactly?π
probably too expensive tbh.. massive cast and fantasy with probably a lot of cgi. death game also had a big cast with only 8 episodes. the only similar exception really is moving and that was like record breaking budget.
Great story and good performance by the cast, but Kang Mina carried this with her acting. Amazing to see her improvements as someone who followed all of her projects since 2017. She really got better project by project, notably Hotel del Luna and Welcome to Samdalri. This may be a short drama special, but I geniunely think it may be her best performance yet. I think she's really ready to be the main first lead in a standard Kdrama now.
That cast but only 8 episodes? Holy shit they better be 2h long lmao
Other similar "stacked" lineup OTT dramas like Death Game and Light Shop that's about to air only have 8 episodes as well. Seems to be the trend for these kind of dramas. Moving was the only exception, but that was with a massive budget. I do hope this has a fast pace and a long run-time like at least 60-65 minute episodes rather than some 45-min run-time like some OTT dramas do.
I'm super excited for this drama. I like the pairing! I would love to see Kim Se Jeong portray a different kind…
Description shows some similar traits, like the pure and bright character, but in a Sageuk setting, and in what's been revealed so far, seems like more of a "serious" historical drama rather than a comedy one, so I'm pretty positive Sejeong would show a different side in this one. Both Sejeong and Tae-oh are known to have great chemistry with their partners, so I'm also really keen for this one!
Viki, huh. Funny that Netflix didn't pick it up, considering how big was Business Proposal's success for them.…
It's on Netflix Korea, but not for international distribution. Don't know why, but maybe Netflix will pick it up after show's finished broadcasting if it's well-received.
Don't know if Ji Changwook is backing out or not or if him and Park Hyungsik are playing different characters, but regardless I'm still super excitied. Dramas with big casts and budgets like Moving and Death Game were some of my favourites in the last year.
The last thing I wanted was for comparisons to not be made, the original will always have an essence that makes…
There's a reason why the original is special, but people need to go in to adaptations/remakes with a fresh mind, because if not, you're only going to watch and look out for things to criticise and dislike. It's a story based off of the original, and there will be things they change, things they will keep the same, so you're never going to be 100% satisfied if you're comparing it to the original episode by episode, or minute by minute.
Rumour says Seo In-guk is filming Monthly Boyfriend from mid-October up till at least first quarter next year? What's happening with this production then, since I thought this is filming from October onwards as well? And with news about Ji Chang-wook and Park Hyunsik and all that.
Am I the only one who thinks Lee Jong-won looks the same?? Saw him in Golden Spoon, IU's music video, Hospital Playlist, I Live Alone and Salon Drip guestings.. why are comments saying he looks different lol.
I wonder which OTT this will be on. I for one, love that nowadays there's more big money thrown on these star studded shows. Hope that there's more trend towards big cast lineups like Moving and Death's Game.
Love her. I love that she plays different roles in every show she's in, from the young student ghost in Hotel del Luna, to messy red hair hacker in Minamdang and young single mum in Samdalri. And now most likely she will be playing some sort of hero in fantasy genre.
Wait. The trailer is good, it's adapting the drama well and not straight copy. The vibes is homey like Go Ahead,…
One of the teasers had Haejun and Park Dal looking at each other maybe hinting at a love line there. Maybe they will change some things up for the adaptation.
From some teasers, it looks like the second couple will be Chaeyeon's best friend and the second brother. One of the best changes they can make in the adaptation if you ask me tbh.
I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS! I hope they don't bring the plot of the awful mother that much cause for me it's the…
Spoiler but the mother has already been casted.. The actress uploaded stuff on Insta and fans already found out. Just hoping the storyline will be resolved refreshingly without dragging on.
Both Sejeong and Tae-oh are known to have great chemistry with their partners, so I'm also really keen for this one!
