Lol pretty much everyone except for Ma Dongseok and Park Hyungsik weren't shown too much. But I'm sure all 12 especially the named actors/actresses play key roles.

It's only a one-minute teaser so not going to read too much into it.

Most likely a month before release, or 5-6 weeks before release. So assuming no delays or nothing, and it's airing on Aug 23, probably first teasers or still pics will be released around mid July

Word on the street is that this may be pushed to Nov/Dec or even early next year, since MBC partnered up with Disney+, they are airing Casino in July, pushing all the pending Fri/Sat dramas back..

I'll be the first to tell you how I wish some Kdramas go back to the longer formats, but blame the current trends lol. Some recent historical dramas like Knight Flower, Queen Woo and the Queen who Crowns were 12 episodes or less as well. Although historical tends to be longer in that sense as well.

But if the genre of this one is fantasy and romance, maybe 14 is the perfect length instead of dragging it out. Longer episodes may be more suitable if it's "deeper" and has a need for it like My Dearest

Thank you for your information, I was not aware of that. I was actually under the impression that it was still early. That's actually really impressive then, and good for Na Inwoo, he deserves it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think for River Where the Moon Rises, it was still relatively in the early stages of filming. Pretty sure for this one, it's way too deep into the drama I think. Regardless, definitely a shit situation for everyone involved.

Director worked on Kingdom Season 2 and Moving.. Don't think he was the main PD but still very curious how this will turn out.

I know actors take time to review scripts and obviously pick and choose all the time, but when news come out and two actors have dropped the project? Are they just creating buzz and prematurely releasing articles or what's happening here?

Where did you see that? Not saying you're wrong, but I doubt a massive cast with this many stars will do a 10-20 min show with only 8 episodes? Seems more like the recent Disney+ type show where it's 8 episodes with 40 mins screentime each.

I thought plot sounds fun and intriguing.. Still would watch even if it wasn't for the leads. Good old story of "dead" crown princess coming back alive and reuniting with the crown prince. Especially when they brand it as historic version of Secret Garden with soul switching.

Seems like Netflix is turning more into like Disney+ for their original dramas with stronger star-studded casts but fewer episodes short series. Obviously love to see a lot of big names in one show, but also legit missing the old Kdramas with 16-20 episodes that has deeper longer stories that you get to "hang on" to for longer.

probably too expensive tbh.. massive cast and fantasy with probably a lot of cgi. death game also had a big cast with only 8 episodes. the only similar exception really is moving and that was like record breaking budget.

Great story and good performance by the cast, but Kang Mina carried this with her acting. Amazing to see her improvements as someone who followed all of her projects since 2017. She really got better project by project, notably Hotel del Luna and Welcome to Samdalri. This may be a short drama special, but I geniunely think it may be her best performance yet. I think she's really ready to be the main first lead in a standard Kdrama now.

Other similar "stacked" lineup OTT dramas like Death Game and Light Shop that's about to air only have 8 episodes as well. Seems to be the trend for these kind of dramas. Moving was the only exception, but that was with a massive budget. I do hope this has a fast pace and a long run-time like at least 60-65 minute episodes rather than some 45-min run-time like some OTT dramas do.
