CREATE OPPORTUNITIES EVEN IN HELLISH SITUATIONS

Study group, my Thursday drama. What will I do now knowing I don't have 3 episodes waiting for me at home? Will I be able to survive on just one? As much as I have loved other dramas, I think this might have just lit up a light bulb in my head. With the love between friendships, to the real world lessons, we have seen the characters grow each episode. I've been watching since the beginning, and I don't know how quickly I can let them go. This friend group showed how far someone can go for the sake of love.

The acting within this project is phenomenal. I felt as if I was genuinely a character in the show with how much emotion and attachment I've grown upon these characters. Honestly, I have so much thoughts but I'm unsure how to put them into words. Did I cry when I finished? Yes!! Was it because of the episode? NO!! It was because I already missed them.

The story follows Yun Ga Min, a student who strives to excel academically but is only skilled in fighting. He forms a study group at the most troubled school imaginable and embarks on a determined journey toward the college entrance exams. Though Yun Ga Min appears to be the model student, he attends Yusung Technical High School, one of the most challenging environments for education. Despite his relentless efforts, his grades show no improvement. Nevertheless, he remains focused on his goal of attending college. When his study group friends are bullied, Yun Ga Min sheds his glasses and uniform jacket, using his fighting abilities to defend them. Lee Han Gyeong, Yun Ga Min's teacher, is determined to improve the school. Having tutored Yun Ga Min during her university years, she reunites with him when she is appointed as a temporary teacher, carrying a secret of her own.

The premise of this story is both intriguing and relatable. Yun Ga Min’s character, someone who is determined to succeed despite being in an environment that doesn’t support his academic ambitions, really taps into the struggles many students face when dealing with a challenging school system. The combination of his academic dedication and hidden talent for fighting adds an interesting layer to his personality, making him not just a typical student but one who has depth and complexity. The school setting itself, labeled as one of the worst places to study, seems like the perfect backdrop for a transformative story. It gives Yun Ga Min the opportunity to not only grow personally but also potentially lead others to change. The fact that he’s willing to defend his friends and stand up to bullying shows his loyalty and sense of justice, giving him a hero-like quality. On the other hand, Lee Han Gyeong's role as a teacher who wants to improve the school and has a hidden connection to Yun Ga Min adds an element of mystery and mentorship. The blend of personal growth, hidden potential, and an underdog school setting makes this story inspiring.

Honestly, I did really love the plot. There was so much depth to it that I can't describe. Although I really liked the plot, I think I loved the characters more. Se Hyeon was probably my favorite character, not only because he was a cutie but also because he tried his best to show his potential. In the last episodes, he learned to start to protect his friends. He wanted to try and use his own strength, even if he wasn't that powerful. To protect his friends in this situation he used tactics to beat up those stronger with him. I just really like the way his character developed from being a little quiet shy guy at the beginning into a still quiet guy but able to stand up for himself.

Overall, this was a great watch. I'm definitely going to miss them, but I can't say I regret watching. I love Min Hyun, which I could just be biased because I just love the man himself, but I also have found other people in this series to love. This drama has shown how far you would go for the people you love, even if you don't directly say you love them.
