Anyway, Roa is so pretty! wth. The closeups of him in ep 3?? wow. And he’s actually adorable when he smiles.. especially when he played dumb with the food lol.
And I know a lot people are saying the plot is messy and what not, but I don’t really think it is. I mean, everything’s pretty straightforward so far, nothing happened out of the blue, and the different plot points are (so far) pretty much interconnected. However, my only worry is how they will develop the relationship between the main leads with only 3 eps left.
This, suprisingly, ended pretty nicely. Was it mind blowingly good? No, but I like that it stayed consistent with what it tried to do—a collection of cute, comfy, fluffy and sweet moments of two boys and their love for each other.
I really do think this could’ve been adapted better. I wish they fleshed out the plot a bit more and (from what I’ve read others say) didn’t pretty much just translate the manhwa into a series. It just never worked coz scenes really did feel disjointed a lot of times. It could’ve probably worked better to have two seasons, maybe? First one could’ve been high school days + exploring their childhood/past, then second would be college + romantic life. Idk…
Still, it was still super cute and sweet. I honestly keep rewatching a lot of the cute scenes from all the eps lol. And really, despite feeling disjointed/rushed at times, I still understood things well, especially their relationship, and it was still enough to keep me entertained and hooked weekly.
And honestly, I really loved that last scene. I was smiling the entire time. :) I don’t think we really needed a kiss in the end. We got plenty already (even though the best one was just a dream lol). It would’ve felt forced.
Oh, and I had such a crush on Kanghui the entire series. He’s so hot… lmao. But was really cute too in all those clingy Taesung moments lol.
Really hope to see him in more dramas in the future. He can really act. He did awesome in Blueming and I really loved that even his eyes were just as expressive.
For anyone who has read the manhwa, how was the adaptation like? I heard it changed after like halfway through? And is there any more story left from the manhwa to warrant a season 2?
No but seriously, this was brilliant. I mean the cinematography alone! And the leads! I had my doubts when the first trailer dropped, but boy did they deliver with the acting and the chemistry. Especially Eunbin. You can see the different emotions even in just his eyes. And that scene when Siwon and his mom fought? Broke my heart. And even the side characters were great. The sister, the friends. Wow.
And the beach kiss and the silhouette scene??? *chef's kiss*
If there is one thing that kinda made me scratch my head was the beginning of ep 11 when Dawoon went to the kitchen then met up with Siwon and they were suddenly all good and kissed? I'm assuming this was all a dream, right? I was so confused with the next scene when Dawoon was suddenly apologizing lol. If anything, it scared me really, coz I thought they were okay and lovey dovey all of a sudden without any explanation whatsoever. And then I saw there was like 15 mins still lol.
Anyway, I can't wait to rewatch it again and see all the little hidden details and really, just enjoy a super comfy, charming series all over again.
The more I watch the trailers, the more excited I get for this. It looks so good and so, so promising. And the OST is sooo good.. wth. And I believe one of the new songs (not sure which one) is sung by one of the actors too (Hyukjun)?
watching him for the very first time now in ‘are you human too’ and wow, he’s a great actor from what i’ve seen so far! the way he switches from rich jerk to cute and innocent puppy so effortlessly, and the range of emotions he shows in this drama—brilliant!
Aw man, I really wanted to like this, but it’s just so poorly written. The pacing is so off and the development of the characters feels so haphazard and forced, especially with the main couple. It feels like they just suddenly fell for each other with no rhyme or reason, other than that they kept bumping into each other and lived in the same house.
And then they also tried to add in the second couple, but honestly, they should’ve just dedicated all that time to focus on Seolwon and Cheolsoo :/
Don’t get me wrong though, it had a few good things going for it, and there’ve been worse KBLs tbh, but yeah, just disappointed with this one coz they had such great materials to work with (good cast + apparently good source material). Camera work and cinematography were definitely subpar, but this really could’ve been something good.
Anyway, there’s one ep left, so I’ll finish it… purely because I have such a crush on Seolwon’s actor lmao.. and the leads actually have good chemistry. *sigh*
lol. No, but seriously, what a WELL-written show. Not only on a pacing and story-telling perspective, but I also love all the changes they made from the original source material. Yes, the actors are amazing, the directing and cinematography top-notch, and the OST sooo good, but the writing of the plot and the characters really brought this show to another level, which many of the recent KBLs have been lacking.
Definitely sitting on top of Korean BLs alongside TMS and LOM. So well done! 👏👏 I can’t wait for SK to produce more hits like this in the future.
So on my tl on twitter, there are a lot of people sharing the ep 6 leaks and im just in disbelief at how people…
omg that person was SO ANNOYING. “It was ruined for me so I’ll ruin it for you too!” Like… ok??? What kind of thinking is that? So childish. And they kept going like.. “blame the tl!” what an ass.
I don’t get why this is getting compared to Semantic Error. Especially in terms of production quality.
Like, no shit, SE has better production since it’s made by Watcha, a streaming service in Korea, so it’s a much bigger company so it has a bigger budget. This, on the other hand, is made by W-Story, a fledgling company that only creates BLs and only started doing so less than 2 years ago (they made WYEL, Mr Heart and YMMD) so yeah, their budget is much less.
Let’s just be happy Korea started making BLs at all? They’re both good for what they are. And only ONE episode has aired so far compared to SE’s four… like??? ugh.
Really good start! I hope it continues to be good. We could possibly have another great Korean BL in the making here.
ALSO, PROTECC HAEBOM AT ALL COSTS OMG he looked so tiny the entire ep lol.
And props to the entire cast! Great acting all around. Hyunwook (the guy playing the bully) said in an interview to please not hate him, and I now fully get why lol.
yo ep 3 felt so short lol (i mean, it was.. being 17 mins only lol)… but omg, when sangwoo came closer to jaeyoung at the start of the ep and jaeyoung was looking down at him?? woof 🔥
It’s good so far, pretty funny in some parts, definitely lacking in the budget department lmao but honestly, I’ll be sticking it out just for the main leads… they’re both so attractive lol.
And really, like the trailer says, it’s supposed to be a sitcom BL so def not to be taken seriously at all. This’ll be a cute, fun little ride while all of us fawn over at Semantic Error, and possibly CBAW.
Really impressed with Seoham’s acting so far! I skimmed a few of his previous works before this started and thought his acting was just okay, but yeah, he’s doing really great! Drama version Jaeyoung is getting on my nerves lol.
And the production quality continues to amaze me. Like finally, we have another Korean BL that really feels well polished and doesn’t feel like some cheap web drama.

In Hwang Daseul we trust. <3
