yooo WHAT?!! I am still processing what I just watched. that TWIST at the end hit me like a truck!! SO. GOOD. I was legit clapping at the end.
I kept questioning how they would pull off a good ending to this when the premise was it's all game... was even confused what was happening towards the end and why the characters suddenly did what they did. but wow. just wow. can't emphasize enough how the plot twist pulled everything together.
I didn't expect anything at all from this series when I first saw the teasers... but boy was I was so wrong. Easily in my top 5 (heck, even top 3?) KBLs of all time. I haven't swooned and giggled like this over the leads in a KBL in a while... and again, the story... just wow. we've had some really good KBLs recently but something about this really just hit different in all the right ways. Kudos to all involved.
the double confession scene in ep 7 is just so good. i’m crying again just rewatching it. 🥲 and the song playing in the background made the scene even prettier.
no but in all seriousness, wow! another home run from korea.
everything was simple yet just fleshed out enough that you understood how and why the characters felt and acted the way they did. nothing just happened out of the blue. and the acting helped a ton. really good casting for the two leads. they really portrayed their characters well. everything between them just felt so natural (except maybe the first kiss lol, but i’m glad we got a good one in the end). and the fluffy scenes! just too cute.
tho as much as loved binging this, this is gonna be like blueming all over again where it won’t get the same hype that shows like SE and ODS had despite how good it is. i honestly feel really sad this is all over so soon. but i can’t wait to rewatch though.
also lowkey can’t believe this is the same director that did my sweet dear lol. they’re like night and day in comparison.
but yeah, just really great overall and can’t wait for more bls from korea. feel like a broken record at this point, but i really hope we get to see the day when we have kdrama lengths/budgets for korean bls :)

but man the end of ep 8 was devastating, but totally understandable how jaewon is processing things coz of his trauma. such good freaking writing. i really hope this ties up nicely next week.
No but for real, this was just *chef’s kiss* perfection. the leads’ natural chemistry just drove this above and beyond the already great, neatly tied up story.
This is why I always had high hopes for korean BLs even back when they started a few years ago. I just knew the potential they had coz of the quality of korean content… and here we are years later, and we continue to get top-notch KBLs like this. Yeah, there’s some bad apples here and there, but man, when they’re good, they’re damn good.
I can’t even begin to imagine how great KBLs would be when we finally get full-kdrama-length ones if they can already execute with such limited runtimes like this.

Yeah I’ve seen other shows on Gaga and have noticed that they like to change the meaning of some lines with their subs to make things sound more natural. I’m watching this on Viki and it seems pretty accurate.
welp I pretty much squealed all throughout ep 5 and 6. THEY’RE SO CUTE OMG and just so natural. and the little pecks 😭 and i love that they kept calling each other “boyfriend” like it’s so rare to hear that in KBLs.

But yup, this has been really spectacular so far. Good acting, great cinematography, well-written script, loving the pace. I also love the little game-like thing they have at the end of each ep to show us their past, even if it’s just a short glimpse. Well color me surprised… it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be when I first saw the trailer lol. Acting is not as strong and there’s some goofy and jarring shots/editing, but I’m digging it so far. Story is coherent and interested to find out what happened between them in the past.
Hwang Daseul left comments on both main leads' latest IG posts using a ton of emojis with a blue color and a bunch of cameras... so I'll take it as her subtle/not so subtle way of confirming season 2 lol.
This was pretty good. Acting was really good (really liked Jeongwoo), cinematography was also decent. But it definitely really falls short on fleshing out some of the plot. Most notably is Denis' erratic behavior. I also wish we saw what their relationship was like in the past. They didn't really show much on that end. The writing was decent and it was still overall enjoyable (especially the really funny moments) but yeah, definitely needed more runtime.
I liked the ending honestly. 🤷🏻♀️ The way I see it, with Yudam forgetting everything, they're essentially freed from the curse of Dongbaek dying again. Yes it's sad, but with Dongbaek now the one remembering things, it's his turn to pursue Yudam. With him asking Yudam to eat dinner together in the end, he really wants to pursue this relationship and be back together with him as much as Yudam did in the beginning. If anything really, it definitely opens up the possibility of a season 2.
I'm also glad the last kiss was a lot better than the first two lol. And can I just say, Youngwoon with his hair down.... *swoons*... and Jeongwoo is just the cutest. Definitely looking forward to more of their works, if not a season 2.
Great start! Really funny and super engrossing. I was glued to my TV the whole (very short) 30 minutes. I’m glad it didn’t drop all at once like Blueming (coz I think that really killed any extra hype it could’ve gotten) but man, I want more! lol
And the actors are great! Especially love the actor of Dongbaek. So expressive! and adorable too.
