Just because people don't like her high-pitched toddler-like voice, does not mean they are pick-me girls. It's really cringe watching a grown-up woman talking like a child. Especially when it's obvious that it's fake. I know this because in LBFAD there was a scene when she talked normally and I realized she sounds so good when she speaks normal. Cute talking does work for some but not for her. It has nothing to do with the male leads. If you don't mind that, well and good but you should not call others pick-me and delulu because of this.
This drama was great overall—I’d rate it a solid 7.8/10. However, there were a few things that really frustrated…
Exactly. I am surprised not many people are talking about this. I hate this thing about Asian dramas, how they forgive a lifetime of abuse so easily. They need to normalize cutting off this kind of bitchy relatives completely.
Anyone else have PTSD when it comes to people walking across the street in Chinese dramas 🤣🤣 cause why did…
Oh my God. I just finished this drama and in that last scene I was holding my breath hoping they don't cross the road. And when they met in the middle of the road I was shouting plz go on one side and then do whatever you wanna do 😂😂😂
There are some things people didn't understand and kept asking about in the comment section so I'll share my understanding on some of those topics: 1- why did dohoe kept repeating entrance exam when he was a top student? I think you guys missed the part where they showed that he was good at English but not at Maths. There were a lot of hints e.g. when ju yeong asked him a multiplication question and he answered wrong and later solved on paper, when in the first scene the teacher asked them a question to solve on board and they cheated etc. 2- why did he not contact ju yeoung for 12 years and was cold to him and pushed him away when they met later on? There were two main reasons. First because of his guilt that he didn't stop his father himself and called the cops which could have gotten ju yeong's admission cancelled. Second because of his embarrassment that he failed many times, couldn't even enter the university and his whole career was built on lies. At first, he wanted to accomplish something, become someone great and successful and then go meet ju yeong, but because he couldn't so he never approached him. Later when they met at his father's funeral, because of his embarrassment and guilt he pushed him away, untill he told Ju yeong about the guilt part and said you should stay away from me because I'm not the kind of person you think I am, and Ju yeong instead of hating him told him that It's not his fault. Thats when he stoped pushing him but because of the embarracement part they were still distant. Later on in that cafe scene he realized Ju yeong knows but still does not hate him, instead asked him not to abandon him again, thats when he finally opened up fully to ju yeong. 3- Did he go to prison or not? This one they didn't tell but I think he went for six months and came back and thats when that scene took place where Ju yeong was showing him pamphlets and they were discussing future.
I have lost all of my faith in show ratings and reviews. It was such a highly-rated show so I expected a lot from it but oh god. Before starting it, I had no clue about the cast except for jimmy and I only started it for him. I am sorry but it was such a disappointment. Maybe the reason is that I don't really like the other lead but I was not feeling it. In episode 1 ohm-nanon were a real surprise for me and I was able to watch it because of them, also in the actual universe the leads story was still interesting but starting from ep 2 it became so boring. I don't know why should I even care about the lead's situation. There is no romantic chemistry between them. They are at most like best friends. Do they think looking at each other's eyes for a long time and accidental touches = chemistry? It had potential but somehow they completely missed it. I know they were trying to make things different from this universe but the whole transparent paper thing was off-putting. I completed ep 2 with much difficulty and watched ep 3 with x2 speed but still couldn't finish it so I am dropping it here. Like there is not a single thing interesting about the story. If there are any more scenes with ohmnanon in later episodes can someone just tell me the exact episodes and parts so that I can watch them. One good point about the show however was the references to other bl shows.
Its really weird and at the same time amazes me how a drama like ''secret crush on you'', which i couldn't stand at all till last ep, got 10/10 rating and everyone seems to love it but this one, which i loved and enjoyed so much, has lower ratings and every one kinda have issues with it. I know everyone has their own preferences but the fact that majority of people have same reaction make me think maybe I'm the weird one here. Especially when most people don't like first and last ep, and i on the other hand, loved them the most and will probably rewatch many times.
This is too cringey , how you all servived it ?? I feel too old right now :))))
i can feel you. Till the last episode i couldn't stand the lead couple although the cringe decreased after 7th episode. it's the other couples that made me keep going.
This is the most funny comment I've read so far. at first you said that shinwoo fans are petty when its just a…
That's the whole point you are not getting. Who you ship or want to be the end game isn't my concern. You are allowed to ship whoever. Anyone is allowed to to do that. But the point is where shinwoo fans don't like daon or make theories about him. It's not far fetched. There is totally a reason to do that. he's one flawed character and there are a lot of subtle hints for those theories too. You calling them a hater or toxic fans or petty is totally wrong. How can you call a person petty or toxic because they don't like a fictional character. that's not even a real human. you don't defend your favorite character by calling the people who dislike him a hater.
if tae dosn't choose shinwoo by the end, i'm never going to forgive the writer. I mean just think about all the things poor boy did and if that kind of character dosn't end up with MC, what's the point. Also I'm kind of annoyed at why taekyung is taking this much of time. i don't want to wait till last 3 minutes of last episode for taekyung to choose shinwoo. he should have made up his mind in this episode when he told daon that he want to return shinwoo's feelings.
I was all for the Shinwoo endgame because of the large number of Shinwoo fans but they are just too toxic. They…
This is the most funny comment I've read so far. at first you said that shinwoo fans are petty when its just a series and then you go on saying all this and that you don't like about shinwoo fans and concluded with saying that because shinwoo fans are this bad so you don't want shinwoo to end up with taekyung. excuse me but who's being petty here when its just a series? you didn't even talk about your issues with shinwoo but all about his fans. he isn't an idol that can be judged by his fans(they too shouldn't). if he should end up with taekyung or nor, should be based on his character not viewers, which proved to be deserving the ending with taekyung. Now coming to all your "issues" with shinwoo fans. First of all about shinwoo being an angel. so what if we make him seem like one. what's your issue with his fans making him seem like an angle. he's the best boy out there. if you think he isn't then please enlighten us with your reasons. now with you saying they hate on everything that gets in the way of their ship. obviously everyone wants their ship to sail. so they don't like something to came in the way of their ship. but there is a difference between not liking and hating. and shinwoo fans don't hate it(well majority). never seen someone hating. just not liking it. Then come to "insisting on things that are proven to be wrong". you just mentioned one thing i.e. tae being shinwoo's first love. being honest I've never seen any such comment. i just heard it from you. maybe there are a few but just a few. and also it isn't proven to be false either. someone talked about this before my comment so won't get into it. and even if shinwoo fans insist on this, how is it toxic or petty. are you sure it's not your personal grudge. Then that part about the "insane theory" about daon hiding tae's cloths. why would anyone prove this. it's just a series. not real life. if its true then it'll be revealed in last episode but even if it was not true, then its not a big deal. its not like people are blaming someone in real life. they are just putting out their observations. whats wrong with this. you can't call someone toxic just because they don't trust a certain character. and for shinwoo fans to think like this isn't totally wrong either. why was it that shinwoo, who went through garbage couldn't find the bag but daon did and at the perfect time too. his expressions were fishy too. and it was also because he called someone. but at the end, it's all speculations and isn't that how it happens in dramas. viewers make all kind of theories. i don't understand why you hate someone for not trusting a certain character. it's everyone's free choice. The part about zero tolerance for daon's positive personality. everyone's happy for him realizing what he did was wrong and want to change but what we can't tolerate is him hurting shinwoo in that process. shinwoo gave him a lot of chances and even at the the end when he started perusing tae he asked for daon's permission. no one does that. not in single drama I've seen a friend backing off for his friend, but shinwoo did out of respect for his friendship. but daon's positive personality has zero respect for shinwoo. i won't talk about "returning the feelings" part because someone else talked about that too. But all in all it's just people liking or disliking a character. what i don't understand is you not wanting shinwoo to end up with tae just because you don't like people's opinion. aren't you the most petty person here.
Happy ending till the last 30 seconds. Like they tried to make it open ending but not actually open. It didn't work, if i say. Like i don't care and don't actually want to know what happens next. Happy ending part was enough for me
This drama got a lot of criticism and bad ratings but surprisingly i loved this one. Like totally. Binged watched this in two days and never was once bored or i have to ask myself if i should continue. Maybe my taste is different from most people. Something most people complain about this drama is confusion and back and forth story telling method and too complex plot. Also leads being dumb etc. But it never bothered me. Leads are human and they don't have to be the most perfect and smart people. They did all they could to fight evil. The main factor to complete a drama and not get bored is interest and curiosity, and this one didn't lack in that aspect. With each episode i was interested to know what happens next. A lot of highest rated dramas i stop watching or got bored at some point e. g. The king: eternal monarch, defendant and itaewon class, although they had perfect story line and every thing. Because they at some point failed to gain my interest or curiosity. Most people with disagree but it's just my personal opinion.
