A Wholesome and Heartfelt Take on Divorce

I started watching Good Partner because it had been a while since I’d seen a drama centered around divorce—and this one truly stands out. It unfolds at a slower pace, but that’s exactly what allows it to explore the many reasons people choose to part ways and the emotional ripple effects it has on both children and adults.

Jang Na Ra and Nam Ji Hyun deliver exceptional performances as divorce lawyers, bringing grace and authenticity to their roles. While romance isn’t the central focus, you’ll find yourself deeply invested in the characters and their quiet, heartwarming moments.

The male lead is portrayed as an empathetic and easygoing guy—the kind of colleague or friend you’d likely meet in real life. His unwavering support for Nam Ji Hyun’s character, even after she initially turns him down, is refreshing and genuine.

Jang Na Ra’s on-screen work partner is a true “ahjussi goals” character. His calm demeanor, subtle charm, and quiet acts of support—like simply offering coffee—make him incredibly endearing. He harbors feelings for her but remains respectful and supportive, knowing she’s married, which adds depth to his character.

If you’re in the mood for an emotionally rich, slow-paced drama that handles the complexities of divorce with care and warmth, Good Partner is a must-watch. Highly recommended!
