A Rom-Com Without a Cause
Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale feels like a drama that forgot to bring its plot to the party. It lacks emotion, structure, and any compelling reason to exist. The story, if you can call it that, is a scatter of disconnected moments trying to mimic a romantic comedy, but falls painfully flat.
Both the male and female leads seem misplaced, making you question why they even signed on for this project. There’s no real romance, no chemistry, and certainly no spark to hold your attention. It evokes nothing — no laughter, no butterflies, just a lot of “why am I watching this?”
If you’re looking to waste a few hours, be my guest. But if you're hoping for charm, heart, or anything remotely memorable — look elsewhere. This drama is a case study in why some believe the rom-com genre is fading.
