one of the best BLs I’ve seen

I haven’t written a review before, but for this one, I have to. This show is a masterpiece. The two leads had so much chemistry and acted so well. The story was captivating, heart-wrenching, and left an impact on me. We were so lucky to get two episodes at the end!

I’ve watched so many BLs but this one will be in my top 5. Couldn’t ask for anything better!!

I don’t give 10s out often and my stipulation is that it’s a show I will rewatch. This was an easy 10 and I can’t wait to see these two act in the future! Beautiful.

Class 2 Lives Up to Class 1

This is my first time writing a review for all the shows that I've watched but I feel like it's necessary after reading through some of the comments on this season.

I just finished rewatching both seasons and I've upgraded season 2 to 10/10.

Season 1 was a masterpiece but I feel like season 2 truly played off the characters from Season 1.

Si Eun's character was so beautifully done in this season. I feel like his resilience as a human truly showed in this season, because despite losing all of his friends and going through terrible trauma/betrayal, he still had the capacity to accept new people into his life and to truly care for them. He truly had such a pure heart.
He was also ridden with guilt, feeling like Su ho's medical state was because of him, and as the story unfolds, you see that he also felt guilt for the outcome of Beom Seok's story. The scene at the airport when he finally hears the words he needed to hear, "It's not your fault" truly was such an outstanding moment.
Si Eun is one of my favorite characters in all the TV I've watched and I'll never stop thinking about his character development.

We are given a morally gray "villian", Baek Jin instead of the quintessential one-dimensional school bully that we were given in the first season. Yes, there are some unanswered questions such as why he started the Union in the first place and how his and Baku's relationship went sour but I found his character very compelling. We were given little breadcrumbs about how he wasn't all inherently bad. I truly feel sad for him as a character. It was evident that he grew up with no family or friends and was bullied/beaten until Baku came around. He had the union but everyone in it was using him just as much as he was using them. The only person to really truly love and care for him was Baku---but he ultimately lost that person too.

Baku was such an amazing addition to the show. His history reminded me of Baek Jin's in some ways. Baku grew up with an alcoholic father that treated Baku terribly and was always getting into trouble where Baku had to bail him out. He didn't have a figure in his life that truly loved him, but instead of going down the path that Baek Jin did, he chose to be a good person and have such a vibrancy of life. He reminded me of Su Ho in the way they would act/speak. So loud and uniquely themselves.

I also appreciated the addition of Jun Tae. I think he was given a story that was somewhat similar to Beom Seok's. He was assaulted and bullied, but when he finally got his group of friends, he continued to stay true to himself and be such an amazing friend/human. I wish we would have known a bit more about his past along with Go Tak but hopefully in season 3??

Overall, I LOVE this show. Yes, there where some unanswered questions, but through in through, the story, the characters, the acting, the fight scenes...so well done. I'm really hoping for season 3. They sure left a cliff hanger to do so if they wanted to. Seong Je would be a crazy villain since he really has no moral compass or loyalties. He almost treats everything as a game and will do anything to get a thrill. I'm crossing my fingers season 3 comes to fruition.
