Like Hyori's Bed & Breakfast Seasons 1 & 2, this calming series will put you into a state of Korean Zen. So relaxing...even has way less activity than HB&B but it entertains in its own serene way.

Title Twelve Nights Spoiler
That ending wasn't enough for me. I waited 9 long, drawn-out years to reach 12 nights. This had to be the most frustrating couple ever. The lack of communication --both when they were together and zero contact when apart in this day and age of internet, cellphones, even regular phones--really stretched my belief in any sort of reality. This series had so much potential but, instead, I felt it dragged mercilessly.

Title Just Dance Spoiler
I finished this show last night. Not sure what to think. The lead actress didn't evoke much compassion in me because she was mostly so angry and lashed out to hurt those closest to her. I hated the way she hurt her mother and her sweet, overly-tolerant boyfriend who painfully suffered her tantrums and breakups after sweet, shared romantic, caring moments together. I kept wanting her to go take Anger Management classes.

I loved the dancing since it made me think of my ballroom dance class days and how I'd be practicing steps everywhere--like down the supermarket aisles while I pushed a cart. The girls in the group felt real as they faced the reality of their futures while experiencing the giggly fun and pressures most face in high school. Their teacher was the epitome of what we can only hope every teacher should be--encouraging, inspiring, understanding, and doing everything within their means to help each student reach their full potential.

The theme message about achieving happiness was tossed around so much, in both positive and negative ways, it felt slightly watered down due to Shi Eun's relentless, angry attacks against the entire theory of happiness. By the time the series ended, I found it difficult to give a damn if she ever found some personal joy or not.

I loved this sweet, wise, slice-of-life drama. Couple's with problems learn to accept each other's shortcomings and combat their own to work their way back to love.

Hi, Cao Xuan Hung: Thanks for sending the show link, but I've already watched the Season 1 series. I didn't see any comments either under the link so I'm not sure if you were trying to comment about my post or not. ??

Title Ping Pong Ball Spoiler
I was enjoying this drama until the final scenes. It felt like an interesting buildup of characters and relationships with their own storylines...that amounted to nothing much! It just ended and felt confusing to me. Nothing was resolved. Everything was left to our imagination. Not enough closure for me.

Title Time
I found this series to be dark, bleak, and intense. It was hard for me to want to turn it one each week, because of its overall depressing theme, I had to psyche myself up to watch each week. But once I turned it on, the drama was completely compelling. I had to take emotional breaks sometimes while watching an episode. I was surprised that, even after Soo Ho departed this life, I felt the show was able to continue on with continued intensity. He was the pivotal character throughout, and I felt like Kim Jung Hyun embodied the personality of this role--he was living it! My only disappointment was that Seo Ji Hyun could not feel or show affection, and was even quite mean to this man who was so sincerely trying to protect her and change his own perspective on life. In the end, they tried to make it seem like she finally possibly felt some love for him. If only she had been even a little kinder to him. I guess I will have that regret now forever along with her...

Title Familiar Wife Spoiler
My problem was that I didn't like either wife. Even to the very end, Woo Jin insisted on a second proposal that had to be done her way as she's dreamed it--on a rollercoaster which terrified and made him sick. To me, this negated his own heartfelt proposal and raised a red flag that a leopard really doesn't change its spots.

Throughout the series, I felt Woo Jin did things her own way--as shown in some bank scenes, like when she first got hired and immediately in her first few minutes there closed the windows Joo Hyuk had just opened. Who takes charge like this before they've even been introduced? In her own way, I felt like Woo Jin could be as demanding and selfish as Hee Won. Joo Hyuk had his faults, but from the point of starting his life over, he was the one to make all of the compromises acquiescing to his wives.

Ji Sung, as always, was outstanding. His acting was flawless. He's also the fastest runner and very acrobatic in his facial expressions and body actions, and I feel the director made the most of his comedic talents.

I feel like she's so emotional and he's trying to adapt to her needs so much more than she is. She's kind of bossy, and he's doing everything in his power to please her. I think he adores her 100% but her feelings aren't quite matching his.

It's on Viki. I just watched it. It's cheesy-romantic so, of course, I like it. LOL Romi reminds me of them trying to cast a make-believe Rain. I liked the male voices.

Title Wok of Love Spoiler
I enjoyed it throughout. The characters and unexpected turns were wacky and fun. The final epi, however, left me feeling like the ending was very abrupt and without closure for some that left it hanging. Although the final line was satisfying, there was no lead up to that point. So the parents enjoyed meals and mom just gave in after being so adamant? It would have been nice to finally hear her approval of the relationship. We never got to see Chil Seong move into a relationship or steal a kiss with the nurse. Poong's ex-wife was never punished satisfactorily for her miserable treatment our chef. As 3GGG said above, there were abandoned plot points which proved frustrating to me.

So epi 14, the review show aired and they didn't ask the big question I'm waiting for--did any of second runners-up end up dating after the show ended? Hope they answer it in the final review show #15.

On Heart Signal Season 2 Jun 21, 2018
Title Heart Signal Season 2 Spoiler
That ending--what the hell happened to all the pledges that Young Ju was the original and only one?! :-(

A few things bothered me throughout despite being glued to the series and dramathoning it nonstop. (1) On dates, no one never seem to have much conversation about their core values (other than what type of person they find attractive.) They don't discuss even broach the topic of any of their personal ethics--politics, religion, where they stand on issues about anything going on in their country or in the world. I understand that the producers wouldn't allow this onscreen, but the conversations seem so vacuous, and I'm left wondering if these candidates ever talk about anything seriously other than feeeeeelings... For example they don't take opportunities to start normal convos--like when at the Tea Shop first date, Hyun Woo said he found the quaint location when he came with his sister. Instead of following up with normal questions to keep the chat going, Hyun Ju doesn't ask things like, "How many siblings do you have?" "Are they older or younger?" "What does your sister do?" etc, etc. These stunted convos happened throughout both seasons so you never feel like you get to know real thoughts and most basic backgrounds of the housemates. Even though they aren't allowed to reveal much, I don't think discussing these most elementary questions would count as being out of bounds.

(2) Hyun Woo doesn't talk--he just hems and haws about almost everything.

(3) I guess this is a problem of life, not particularly of the show, but I can't help but wonder why do guys usually fall for the cute, giggly girl who seems to lack substance? When you listen and see how intelligent, articulate, bright Young Jju is, how responsible, mature, entrepreneurial, etc. Jang Mi is, it's just strange and uncomfortable to me that the men aren't drawn to strong, talented women finding them as appealing as the one who appears semi-helpless, childish. and less able to communicate well. It's just frustrating for me to watch this maybe because I've seen this in real life and it's disappointing to me.

While waiting for the special episodes, I hope everyone who didn't become a couple the first time around dates their second choice and builds a relationship. Though very disappointed, I hope Young Ju and so-capable Gyu-Bin get together. I think our KMed, Do Gyun would be so much happier in the long run with Jang Mi, a woman who is more mature who can converse and share commonalities as they continue to pursue their careers.
