The ending is utterly disappointing. What was the writer aiming for...artistic praise? an award? or something else? It feels like these creators don’t care about the viewers at all
On The Manipulated Dec 4, 2025
Plot holes, plot armor, random off‑screen stuff, and illogical scenes are really bothering me. The writer should’ve polished the script more before filming, and even if the director isn’t a perfectionist, he shouldn’t just go with a ‘as long as the viewers get it’ mindset and end up doing it so sloppily

After watching WLGYT, I’ve started liking PBG. And I’ve always liked SHK. so I guess it’s time to watch this drama

He is paid isn't he?
I’ve been a Kwangsoo fan for a long time, and I’ve noticed this pattern often. He’s given smaller roles compared to other actors, yet he’s the one sent to promotions instead of them. They rely on his popularity and expect him to be funny at every promos. I admit it’s not entirely a bad thing, he does gain exposure as an actor, and we fans get to see more of him.

But his value as an actor and a person is underestimated. They don’t truly appreciate him as an actor. It feels like they just think, “to use him for promotion, lets give him a small role in our film or drama.”
Replying to wolfkeum Nov 20, 2025
how is this a small role? he's literally the main villain, billed second after changwook?
I call Kyungsoo “DO”. “KS” here refers to Kwangsoo.
On The Manipulated Nov 20, 2025
DO is really good in this. Honestly, I was skeptical at first because I didn’t enjoy his acting in Bad Prosecutor (dropped it after a few episodes). But for this role, he’s excellent.
On The Manipulated Nov 20, 2025
It’s always like this. I hate when KS gets such small roles and little screen time, yet they drag him to promo everywhere. Please don't use him like that.

Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
Season 3 = Season 1 . The only differences are the characters and the games. - S1, 218 kills himself and Gi-hun…
What a waste. None of the three plots truly connect until the story’s already over and the main plot has wrapped up. Even if they were aiming for a “real life” or “realistic” ending (as some people claim), then at the very least, they should’ve intertwined all three storylines much earlier...during the beginning or middle of the story. That would’ve made the whole show more interesting.

Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
Season 3 = Season 1 . The only differences are the characters and the games.
- S1, 218 kills himself and Gi-hun wins. S3, Gi-hun kills himself, and 222 wins.
- S1, Jun-ho searches for his brother, finds him, gets shot, and survives. S3, He searches for the place and his brother, finds him, and survives.
- Triangle 11’s plot. completely unnecessary. Even without her storyline, the main plot could’ve played out the same way. (Sure, Jun-ho found the place because of 246, thanks to T11...but if the writers had made Jun-ho just a bit smarter, he could’ve figured it out on his own). It’s amazing to think he was able to infiltrate the game place in Season 1... maybe because he swallowed too much seawater and made him dumb.

Yes, Season 3 is a good watch because it same as Season 1. But in terms of plot, it’s plain and repetitive. And the ending (whether you call..realistic/real-life/fantasy or whatever) didn’t give so much meaning and feeling to me. Because the plot is bland from the beginning make the ending also feels bland.

Even Season 2 is not good either, at least it was different.

(It’s like imagining John Wick 3 where he’s chasing another Big Boss’s son and friends, because they stole his new car and killed his new dog. Sure, it’s still entertaining because of the action-packed scenes, but it’s just the same old ride. Repeatative.)
On Squid Game Season 3 Jul 1, 2025
imo.
It isn’t about whether Player 456 lives or dies,
it isn’t about a sad or happy ending.
It’s about purpose. To remember the setup for Seasons 2 and 3, we need to look back at how Season 1 concluded. The plot should center on 456 vs the Squid Game organization. Even if he’s lost and can’t completely destroy it, he should have given a decent fight and at least shown a little impact to them.

The missionary team wasn’t wiped out because the place had a strong defence system, it was because the police were too naive and stupid.
(It is shown that it is still possible to have a good fight instead of just evacuating and self-destructing)

The show focuses almost exclusively on the games and games.
Not only does 456 fail to give big blow to organization, he doesn’t even manage to save anyone (aside from that baby, which doesn’t count).

For those who don't like this drama, or find this drama boring, or skiped a lot.. I hope you consider giving it another chance in a few years...maybe when your taste in genres has changed. I hope that when you decided to drop this drama, you kept an open mind about rewatching it in the future, rather than dismissing it entirely.

This kind of beautiful drama is rare and doesn’t come around often. It’s sad to think that you might not enjoy it as much as most of us do. But even if you dislike it now, you might come to love it even more than I do in the future. Please, give it another chance down the line - you may end up appreciating it more than you ever expected.

"This particular scene was filmed over several days and the actors & staffs had a hard time doing that... At that time, the director & writer both emphasized the contrast between Ae-soon & Gwan-sik. Ae-soon is a crybaby, but unexpectedly she doesn't shed a single tear at this scene. Instead, the 'unyielding iron (Gwan-sik)' completely collapses. Whenever my eyes started to turn red, the director would say, "Ae-soon isn't crying right now~" and help me focus. Park Bo-gum must have had a really hard time. He had to keep falling, so he wore knee pads. But Sae-byeok, who plays Dong-myeong, is a real pro. He usually likes to joke around, but he completely changes when he starts shooting. He looks like he's just lying down comfortably, but the scene where he weakly drops his hands and bends his neck is harder than you think. The two of them discussed it a lot. We were really good colleagues - IU"

Why are people so quick to assume that PBG will not appear (or will appear much less) in the 3rd and 4th arcs? How are you all watching this drama? Don’t you realize that this series doesn’t focus on just one or two time periods? It constantly shifts back and forth between many different time periods—when they are kids, teenagers, when they have one child, two children, three children, when GeumMyeong is in high school, Seoul Uni, overseas, working adult, and when Aesun in elderly care. I'm sure there will still be plenty of scenes featuring young Aesun and Gwansik.

It would be amazing if Kwang Soo and Kyungsoo made a cameo in this drama. The main leads could visit KKBB to try their famous potato dish. Hehe

This is a good drama. If you like this drama, please watch "Code Blue (2008)."

This drama reminds me of "Code Blue" and "Team Medical Dragon."
- Hospital politics and a super skilled rebellious doctor feel like "Team Medical Dragon."
- Going to treat patients on-site using a helicopter feels like "Code Blue."
All three are great dramas.

if GI Hun (456) convinced people and they voted all to go out then what were we gonna watch then? 😭😭
They should come up with a better way to force them to keep playing. If you notice, in season 1, they only gave a voting chance after the first game. In this season, they add voting after every game. This should have given a big advantage to P456. Instead, it just made P456 seem more dumb because of this.
