I dropped this around ep61 but pop in every now and again to see if it has gotten better. I’ll read the episode…
I don't believe that we've seen any of his backstory...other than he's Pan Sul's wife's nephew and that he was in a relationship with Lucia. Unless I missed it also.
I want to agree with you about Sang Cheol. But, both JiHyeok and his Dad have been harsh with each other. I'm…
Yes, I forgot about Eunoh saying that not accepting the full 20K meant she wouldn't feel guilted into giving money to Gangoh. You are right about the 20k payment being intended as a rescue by Jihyeok, regardless of whether she accepted it or not.
Between Jihyeok and his father, I wasn't thinking phone call specifically, just "reaching out" in general...who should go first, etc. They both are being prideful, and maybe the father felt a little ashamed? (doesn't want to admit it though) and that is why he ducked out of the way when Jihyeok was walking towards him.
I thought the same thing about Subin...she was dressed like a child, but she wants Seongjae to acknowledge her as an adult. Very, very annoying to me. But I'm just partial to Seongjae (character and the actor playing him) and I don't like Subin's character, so I absolutely don't want them together. But I'm destined for disappointment!
This Writer likes repeating storylines like Jihyeok comes to Eunoh's rescue AGAIN when he offers to be partners…
I want to agree with you about Sang Cheol. But, both JiHyeok and his Dad have been harsh with each other. I'm not exactly sure who should reach out to whom. (😁 not sure about ny grammar here). When Sang Cheol was talking with his wife in yesterday's episode, I thought, wow...he is really, really being mean and unforgiving. But, Ji Hyeok also said he would never forgive his father for making him miss out on his study abroad opportunity. I guess somewhere down the line, they will forgive each other.
I'm 100% percent in agreement with you about Su Bin, but you can see their relationship coming a mile away...as much as I hate to see it happen (and I would be thrilled if I'm wrong). I don't think she deserves Seong Jae.
Regarding Eun O and Ji Hyeok's business partnership. I guess it would depend on what the conditions are...it's normal to have written agreements between business partners...to set expectations, etc. For the earlier proposal, yes she did initially agree to the 20k payment, but then didn't take it all, because she felt it was taking advantage, right? So that didn't really turn out to be a rescue. Just a normal business transaction.
Ok, apparently I created a comment, but forgot to post. Posting most of it again below.
I thought this was a very enjoyable episode. Nice to see Gyeong Chae and Seon Jae knocked down for once...down but not out. Lucia needs to stay on her toes even more from now on...they will come after her hard.
Tay Gyeong looked really good today imo. It looks like he got a wardrobe upgrade in addition to the hair color/style change.
Ok, so this was the setup for the dramatic rescue, which will hopefully happen tomorrow. The dementia story is getting old and let's not even mention how inaccurate it is. Enough!!
Ok, I was hoping that the dementia storyline would be over today, but...nope.
Tae Joo was in the episode, but just barely. They need to show the actor some love and give him more screen time.
As long as the chairman continues having "dementia" and Lucia can stay with him, then Gyeong Chae can't touch him, correct?
If he acknowledges that the dementia is fake, then he is still the chairman and there won't be a need to appoint a new chairman, correct?
Soooo, are we guessing that the chairman will come clean about the dementia, clean house with his kids, then voluntarily step down due to his real health issues and will then appoint a new chairman? Or will he stay as chairman, but just give shares to Lucia...since she and Se Ri are the only ones who...ah hem....cared for him?
I know Lucia and Stella are concerned about shares. I'm just not certain how this will play out.
So the chairman is reaping what he's sown over the years.
I started feeling a little restless with this drama over the past few episodes, but it's picking up steam again with today's episode.
I'm hoping to see an extremely disappointed (understatement) Gyeong Chae and Seon Jae by the end of the week.
All of the family , except Se Ri, should be ashamed of their behavior. I know it's exaggerated to show how awful they are, but it's a little hard to watch someone with dementia being treated that way, even if it's fake and even if it's a drama.
Where in the world has Tae Joo(?) disappeared to? 😆
I'm struggling a little to find what I want to say about this weekend's episodes.
I've already expressed my opinion on Eun O's brother in an earlier reply, so no need to repeat. Except to say that Eun O won't stop supporting and helping her mom, but I hope she holds firm and continues to refuse to help her brother.
I'm still clueless about Seong Hui's gameplan for Eun O. I do see where she can't let her husband know that she abandoned her child after hearing what he said about Seong Jae's mom.
I've lost my way concerning Seong Jae and Eun O. I was convinced that he would start to pursue her. But so far I'm not getting any romantic feeling vibes from him towards her. He's either taking it really, really, r e a l l y slow, or he's already realized that he doesn't feel anything other than friendship. I'm still not going to root for him and ML sister. I just don't like her at all.
The encounter between Eun O and Ji Hyeok at the cafe table was supposed to be...what? I'm not sure.

I don't have a problem reading spoilers. I still watch the episode
