Correct. Zero chemistry. The oddest confession scene ever.
I think you guys are confusing traditional expressions of love in a drama with are normally shown with a lot of sexual tension. She wasn’t telling him she loved him or liked him in the confession she tells him she’s fond of him and wants to spend more time with him in the future. This is the beginning of a relationship. This is the I’ve realized you mean more to me than just another stranger. This is the I would like to know you more, I’m interested or curious. I like to spend time with you. She’s mentioned several times before the confession that she wants to be around him and go out with him when they return. It’s not a blatant “let’s date.” She’s subtly saying it by suggesting, “let’s go here and do this when we return.”
the only other charactrer we have seen briefly is FL's mother's brotherMS's father - too much info about him in…
I didn’t mean the female lead’s uncle. I doubt he’s the killer. It doesn’t fit. I mean someone else. There are a lot of people that we as viewers don’t take notice to because they’re not the leads and we have not been told by the director/ writer to take notice to them yet. As for the protesters, I believe it can be made to look like a serial murder but in actuality it might also just be hatred toward protesters and people thinking that they are Northern Spies. People aren’t afraid of being connected to protesting itself, but that protesting leads to death. The boys are directly related to the Gwangju Massacre, they are labeled by default because of where they live (a stigma that kinda exists even today.) Chun Do Hwan was merciless military dictator. Sun Ae is also close to Hee Sub, his brother is a known protestor. . . That could also be another reason why she was targeted. . . Again, it’s just my speculation. I was just looking for a pattern. That was just something I noticed.
Okay, so here is my two cents. I honestly think that the killer is a small side character we’ve only seen briefly. What the writer had done was exonerate all of the pervious suspects. So, I doubt that Beak Hee Sub’s brother is the killer. My money was on the guy with glasses but he was just pounded to death, so that takes him out. I highly doubt it’s the male lead’s dad. The first murder happened before he arrived. Also, crazy or not even serial killers (real ones) don’t kill their own children or loved ones. Yes, he’s suspicious because he didn’t run to the police when he found the matchbox. Instead he asks the lead himself. Then he asks his dad (the grandfather) what kind of man he was. That’s him trying to piece together his opinion about if the main is the killer. Lastly, based off the writer’s healing theme in this series in doubt she’d do that for the female lead and leave the male lead high and dry. It just doesn’t make sense to me as a writer. My guess at this point is still on the police. The first two victims were female. One was a suspected of being a communist spy for the north. The other one was a sympathizer (this is Soon Ae’s older sister). Now Soon Ae is taken. She’s the younger sister of a now sympathizer of supposed communist spies and has just usurped his helper by taking the rights to her book back. The police didn’t care if you were a spy or not. They just wanted the glory and recognition that comes with finding one. And that one officer seems pretty eager to put someone behind bars. No questions asked. He’s neither suspicious nor cares.
Oh this was a hard episode to watch! Did we know Hee Sub was from Gwangju (or at least that where I'm assuming…
In the beginning she mentions that he had an accent. She’s confused about it because in the present he doesn’t speak with one. That was the first hint. The second hint was the communist spy comment and why brother may have met with the student teacher. So, it’s hinted but not fully revealed until the 9th episode. It’s meant to keep him mysterious and thus a suspect.
because he was thinking of when he said "i knew it from the moment i saw you. you are my master" in that moment,…
Then right after she says that “you didn’t recognize me first this time but I recognized you.” (Something along those lines.) that also confused me. Because technically he doesn’t see the mark until after she’s splashed and goes into the thingy in the last ten minutes. The scene seemed out of place to me. . . Like they should have realized it there. Idk maybe I need to see it again,
Well, they could have made this drama legendary. Unfortunately they made a mess of thing. Much like bugalsal great start the shitty toward the end. Why did they decide to go back and say Buyeon is still around when they so obviously said at the beginning of the series she left in order to keep the body alive? That was what Master Lee told crazy lady Heo. This is running around in circles. Uk still doesn’t know that Buyeon is Naksu (apparently for the time being. . . Stupid) and Buyeon herself doesn’t know. There were so many things they could have done for this series. Idk why they did this. It’s not even the actors fault. It’s the writing. Also, in season 1 Buyeon was helping Naksu not turn wild. There were several time Naksu and Buyeon worked as 1. They already shared a body. They were already like 1 soul. Right? Anyway, I will edit my review now. You can read it at: https://www.dramaaddictscorner.com/post/alchemy-of-souls
I started this series out of curiosity. I ended up loving the first season, even though the ending hurt me. I am enjoying the second season but there are things that I just don't agree with in the writing. Anyway, we'll see what they decide but I have some issues with the story in terms of the writing and not the acting, Please read my review of Alchemy of souls at: https://www.dramaaddictscorner.com/post/alchemy-of-souls
Not to be that person but they actually didn’t have communication issues until after they “got together.” That’s what I liked about them initially. They talked and understood each other. Their habits were changed by the writer in later episodes, which is where I had my problem.
As much as I want more romance, I also love the pace and the scenes we get with the two aren’t fillers. They’re…
Ooooh you know, I didn’t think of the preciousness of the time we have with them. I agree! The time they are on screen together is meaningful, which creates a huge impact on the audience. It beautiful and precious. There’s a purpose. Wow! Thank you. I honestly didn’t think of that.
Gosh there is so much to say about this drama. I love the actors, they' make this such an amazing watch. The writer is doing amazing at her pacing. I have to disagree with others about how the relationship is progressing. I think it's progressing fine. It' s mentioned in a lot of dialogue that they spend A LOT of time together and she randomly calls him and messages him throughout her day. So, although we don't see it, the time spent is there. Anyway, I wrote a review about my take on the series thus far. You can read it at: https://www.dramaaddictscorner.com/post/extraordinary-attorney-woo
I mean, not condoning his actions, but he told her at least 4 times to leave him alone. She poked at him and Bella any chance she got. She illegally recorded him twice and snooped on him. The last time he saw her she’s being a little shit and stubborn as all get out. As a result she knocks over his only family and the one thing that loves him and he loves back, killing it in the process. He lost his shit. Yea, he was not completely stable and he shouldn’t have done it. On the other hand she also pressed all the buttons she shouldn’t have and didn’t know when to stop. It’s apparent as he’s trying to get Bella out that he’s in full on panic mode. . . When toxic people poke you tend to react in kind. Bella was his breaking point.
