Yeah, this drama was/is good. Kinda wish some clichés would just go away. Hopefully, I am wrong and it does not go the way a predict. That would be a nice change. Enjoying the drama though. Soooooo I'm liking the drama, but there are some interesting moments. I think the director is fight happy and the writer is "poor unfortunate souls" happy. It's still good to finish. Park Bo Gum is great as usual, but Oh Jung Se is the one standing out in this series. Please read my review to see the rest of my thoughts on the drama. I loved this drama. I liked the leads, the intrigue, etc. I just have a few things that I wish were a little different, but what can I say nothing is ever perfect. . . at least I've not seen it. I will say I wish we had a little more than just a popo between the main characters. I've got my eye on Kim Shin Rok now. . . Wow that acting was phenomenal! Sooooooo this was a failure in the writing. I honestly feel bad for the actors. What’s going on with kdrama writers these days? This could have been a stellar (hehehe) drama. They had an amazing cast, the plot was interesting, and a whopping budget. Testament that if the writing ain’t it, not much can save the story.
Also, I would just like to add Ryong broke his engagement off with his fiancé before he slept with the captain. Now, I will fault him for having a crush on her and telling her he had a crush on her before he broke it off (he was drunk). However, he was no longer with the fiancé when romance started. Also, if anyone was paying attention, he never really loved the fiancé and she forced a lot of the relationship on him. He agreed to it, true, but his life was basically ruined thanks to her father.

It looked like they were leaning toward Mr. Park in the beginning. They spent a lot of time together, where worried about each other. When he gets young and hot the writers suddenly have her starting to like Daniel. . . tf? Not to mention even in the flashbacks she's in love with the guy. He loved her too, but just kept missing one another.

Okay, I had a lot to say on this one. The movie is better, the acting is better, it's plotted better, the music is catchy and sometimes haunting. It's a sad shadow of the film. I know it's an adaption, and there are a few things that I liked in the show, but the film is much better. Oh my gosh!!! Where have you been? I thought I was the only one who thought that! She has good moments, but most of the time it’s monotoned line delivery and the same stupid face. I don’t care if you think, “it’s just the character.” It’s not, that’s just lazy acting and it sticks out like a sore thumb when you have other actors actually putting effort into it.
