The lead actors’ chemistry is very strong!
Overall, the story is fairly good and has the potential to explore many angles, but they stick too closely to the original plot instead of adapting it in a way that feels more fitting, which hurts the film’s reception in terms of storytelling.
Aside from the strong chemistry between the two leads, the plot isn’t particularly standout. The script has many shortcomings, and the way conflicts are resolved often feels unconvincing. At times, it felt like they ended up together only because there was no one else left by their side, rather than because their feelings naturally grew while living together.
I hope they improve everything—from the writing to the acting—in the next series.
