by the end i can truly say that I stopped liking or rooting for Guo Guo
yeah I guess you could say that... there is one for the main lead. But by the end I kind of saw Yu Xin as a cornered animal thring not to lose everything. DOn't get me wrong Yu Xin deserved to be punished but not the way she was, she lost everything her 'pretend' family (the one that raised her for most of her life) and her real mother (who should take a lot of blame for how her spoiled daughter turned out for enabling her) But by the enf Guo Guo I feel was justified in being angry but did not handle it right. Yin xin tried to end it all and her mother got injured but at the very end they never go back to her. One Guo Guo abd her happy "family", with the biological mother that didnt go to jail for killing her niece/nephew or brother in law.... but hey the 'evil' one was defeated right?
I was rooting for Rinlanee this whole drama... and i have to say that ending had me heated. I was kinda really stupid. All those who she killed was guilty, even though Chompoo didn't help beat and bury Rinlanee alive, she still saw the attacker carrying her away. I felt really sorry for her horrifically sad ending.
And don't even get me started on Techin, what kind of guy just ups and leaves his gf that hes sooo in love with without checking up on her to make sure she's okay? His character was kinda of, well he was a very selfish person. Also what kind of person dives off a cliff and the person has already jumped off knowing full well that they would not be able safe said person.
All and all it was an okay drama, good music, and acting. Would I recommend it? No. Would I watch it again? Hell no.

I understood that this version would be vastly different going into this. But there was still some expectations that I held for this drama. I also understand that tha the story behind it would be treated different due to the fact that this is a korean drama. I have seen my fair share of plenty good korean historical (period) dramas, and i loved most of them. That being said the tone of this , maybe due to the writing, didn't come off that seriously and was even a little comical. So things just didn't add up in many scenes. I would go into detail but I don't want to spoil it for those who have not watched up to the current episode.

Ok so first off I'm just going go ahead and say this drama could be a huge trigger for some people, there is rape in this drama so there is your warning. there was so many things that these characters should have reacted to but didn't (like finding out that the father finding out that pete whom he thought was his brothers son, actually being his son).
Also the whole romance thing reads more as a "traumatic bonding" than actual love. Even so if you can get over that than you might like this story.
Although in my opinion it seems like the writers started to rush this drama to completion, it can be seen in some scene that could just be called sloppy.
But after all is said and done I have to say this drama was okay.
