Boring. I’m on episode 7 and I don’t see why this drama gets so much praise. I don’t mind shows with less action and more dialogue, but their script is just so dry and unengaging. Not to mention, the male wigs are so ugly and distracting. Did they just pick random people off the street and force them to work in the hair department?
Ep. 15 is a total snoozefest. They should called this garhering as the low iq gathering. Wathing this episode felt like an insult to my intelligence. Booooring~.

Yes, we're watching the same series. Honestly, the leads need a couple of years in acting school before even thinking about doing horror drama. Maybe in other BL, they could get away with it but not in this genre. This kind of genre demands expressive acting, especially facial expressions. Horror isn’t easy, even for professionals. So what made them think inexperience one could pull this off?
This is not a personal attack. I just want to enjoy the series and get absorbed into the world. But how can I do that when the leads are not good enough?
After watching the first episode, it strengthen my believe that horror series should be led by actors who can truly act. These assembled actors failed to embody the emotions and reactions required for the horror genre. It felt wooden. Those facial muscle were just there, completely wasted and unused. Even if it's a BL, the horror genre isn't the place to focus on looking pretty or serving a face card. How is it that 4 child actors can deliver better performance than the adult leads? Now that is the real mystery here.
Yeah this series deserves its 7.2 rating the moment I see his uncle wearing those above the ankle pants in episode 1. They look so unflattering and those style should've die together with covid.
Out of all drama series, this one definitely shouldn't have any 'green tea b****' characters like Xu Zhi Yi. It was literally the worst way to ruin the series. Just why? Firefighting already has enough compelling drama without the need to rely on such characters to push the story along.
Is it the writing? Or is it the bad acting? The poor direction? Something feels off in this series, and I’m only on episode 3. I’m honestly surprised that Tor is an award-winning actor because he looks so dead in the eyes while delivering every line. It’s like he doesn’t want to be there, as if he’s only take this job because his agency forced him into this drama or something.

Good for you if you're truly enjoying it, but it's not for me. Aside from the third princess and her servant, all the characters are just annoying. Honestly, if they made a story focused on those two and their shenanigans, I'd give it some praise. Other than that, the plot is pretty typical, the kind you'd see in most other Chinese dramas. Nothing particularly novel.
Probably one of the most overhyped and overrated series. It's not that bad, per se, but did this series really deserve all the praise? Not really. Majority of the characters are just plain annoying. Her husband is annoying, her first sister is annoying, her second sister is annoying, her mother is annoying, and even her so-called 'rival' is also annoying. Does her country only allow annoying people to live there? I'm on episode 10 right now and honestly struggling to continue watching.
I'm on episode 4, and I still haven't got the vibe. While I know it's not fair to compare both adaptations, I think this one is a bit overhyped. Production-wise, it’s definitely a step up, but something was missing. That raw, emotional pull isn’t there. I’ll stick around and see how the rest goes, but truthfully if you have 24 full length episodes and still failed to wrap up the story just because you’re hoping for a season 2, that’s a trash decision on their part.
