Yes the director did a great job, the cast was so well protrayed and scenes delivered so well. It takes a lot of effort from everyone!

I am on rednote (xiao hong shu) every day watching Ling He's going in and out of makeup for his new drama.. and then chasing down the episodes.. whilst trying to wait out more episodes at a time.. think I am going crazy... hahahhha. Weibo is totally a mad house as well... as is douyin.. this drama is such a hit

Its good... Ling he is soo good... he was able to immediately change face at the drama watching event to get into character and show that vulnerable look... omg.. amazing... Good production so far too... only thing I am worried is the ending... the other couples and characters are all very well protrayed as well.. definitely a must watch for me...

there is baggage.,... and its leads are popular.... so there is a lot of unhappy and uneasy people.... so targets are required... at least if you read rednote and weibo ...

It was an amazing drama.... loved Austin's acting and everything. the production was great and good quality, rather jazz and hongkie old style too. The ending was great. Austin Yao was both cool and yet tender in many moments... really enjoyed it!

I liked it enough, its a decent watch. Was it all that, maybe not but it was still a neat k drama :) And yes I get it that some people are upset.. but its a drama...

Its just him... he is so far from the mass murdering monarch you can get... but thats probably intended. I guess maybe they just had a king in mind but totally altered him for the drama :) which is a great thing!

woah ok those all went past me when i watched it.... and "cursed' the open ending... ok i feel better but i still wished they had done more with it.

she didnt dream... she went back to her world and then meets him there but it stops at the meeting (totally typical ending for this genre.. not even anything beyond them meeting ... plus he doesnt remember her... ) thats why its a 9 for me..

Do watch it... its not bad... but just nothing new... i was so hoping for something good cos they have delivered so much... but i agree with you and i understand.. just wished for something more .... maybe a special episode would indeed be fantastic....

Ok i know the ending cannot be helped but i still didnt like it.. I mean it was a really good journey with some solid acting from the leads and brilliant chemistry, well paced and well filmed intimacy scenes but if they had an ala Shen Li type ending would have capped it off... overall a 9 for me....not a prefect 10 because of the ending...
