What is the drama trying to tell us when it depicted a village boy's life with XZ drinking and suffering from…
He was very alone. And weighed down by his task of being responsible for the entire 3 realms. He did not understand or want those responsibilities. It is trying to show us both leads need each other in their lives. With each other they both understood their responsibilities and also fought for their love.
So this is the highest rated c drama in mdl this year so far. Idk the actors, but I'll give it a try. Really craving…
It's a bit different from the usual ones for this genre. I personally liked it from episode 1. The actors are really very good. All of them not just the main. Hope you enjoy the ride.
I totally agree with you there. But whilst watching I also thought that the other god guy would have also made…
Yes that's why he was also playing another God role hehhe. But LGX for XZ for me. I think liying did also consider the other guy from another drama that just ended (the one with liu shi shi)
My favorite part is when they were chilling with LGX sitting inside the cabinet, the lights go off and "ghosts"…
She just inevitably reaches out to him and he naturally always defends her. Its so nice to watch. I know what fans say abt his GF but I don't know how a man can "Act" or pretend on so many different occasions to be good to her if he doesnt naturally like her one bit.
Yes, I just want another collaboration. I think they both feel they are a bit "seasoned" for such dramas.. but they are soo good in it. But I will take anything that they will act together in...
Nothing to watch now 😭 I thought In Blossom or Blossoms in Adversity could fill the gap but they just dont…
I know what you mean, I tried to get into Queen of Tears too... but it didnt work for me. Dr Slump was more my thing but yesh getting out of this one is tough. I am just re watching.
He soo attractive in this drama, I wish he still looked like that now but unfortunately he’s lost so much weight…
I didnt follow him that much although I have watched some his dramas but maybe it was ok not being so skinny when he was on variety shows but now that he has work in the dramas during this period, I think whether he likes it or not, he has to lose the weight. Even for the XZ role, Liying promised he will be "fit" and not look chubby before the director accepted him as XZ. So I think Chinese entertainment standards require him to look a certain way.
I am just glad XZ was played by him and he looked like that during that period. I really cannot imagine XZ as a skinny dude protecting Shen Li from those falling rocks in various scenes. I mean the dude will look like he has trouble protecting himself let alone shield a powerful female lead from danger!
Indeed... but but but maybe if there was a really really good script and a great sponsor/production company involved.. we can only hope.
But I do also worry, I mean this time people already mocked them as being "Aged/too old" imagine if they were to do it much later... they might not "look" or be right for those parts and even if they were.. they might be "attacked" for it again before it even starts!
... so best they do collaborate on whatever work that might bring out the best in them... like a good modern piece or something political or intriguing...
I'm in the exact same predicament..at this point i might just drop everything and wait until LYF2 come out
Yes same here. I typically don't like stories with multiple males or females vying for affection type. Even if it's different period in life stories with different males.
