This show produces flawed, morally grey characters for us to scrutinise and watch develop in ways we’ve yet…
I'm not that young anymore. But when I was a teen, rape meant for example that a man is forcing himself on a woman. The woman tries to fight back physically and verbally. She kicks and screams. He has to hold her down. THAT was how we thought "rape" would be. Years later I saw a series where a woman had sex with a guy, she wasn't really into it, but she didn't fight back. Later on she went to a therapist and "discovered" she was raped. Neither she nor the guy were aware of that while doing it. I'm not judging. But I thought back then, funny how some things change in society. It also seems that when someone is drunk, it's rape. Period. Having sex drunk was a pretty common thing back then. In that particular scene Porsche was the one assaulting Kinn, but because he was the bottom, he now is the rape victim. People are even calling the scene in Ep 7 rape, because Porsche is drunk again. I hope they do it sober, but this is getting out of hand. Are people traumatized by the sounds those guys make when they do it?
Funny how people give this series bad reviews because of the (in their view) non consensual sex and too much sex in general. Wasn't it obvious from the trailer? Saying things like "I thought they want their young fans watching it"? Seriously? I never anticipated this series, just stumbled upon the trailer by coincidence and thought "Oh, this is gonna be bad and hot." I'm more surprised by how they try to sugar coat everything and making it more vanilla. That combination between hardcore and cheesy talk is confusing me. But really ... some people are naiv. How could you think this is a nice little BL? And while I'm not that thirsty and crazy like other on this site: Who doesn't like some good porn? I sure do! People want the romance, and of course the sex, but when they get some real shit, they are grossed out.
Lol, people writing fanfics ... keep up the good work! Reminds me of myself 15 years ago, writing gay romance fanfics. Now I make a living as a writer for almost 7 years.
I wasn't fond of apo at first but he he gets cuter and cuter 😅. His smile is cute.
He is extremly attractive. Very masculine, but also rather feminine facial features and a slender, but well defined body. No wonder he was/is a model. Also a cute smile. One of the most attractive guys I have ever seen in any BL. Very unusual beauty.
They do a lot of things right in this series, but the plot is weak. I saw some spoilers about the upcoming episodes and hope they will do it better than in the novel. This ex-boyfriend plot is so over-used. You can really feel this is a fanfiction coming to life. I still have hope, because until now they did a decent job with the story and the characters. But if Porsche is wasted AGAIN, I really don't know what to say. Kinn being jealous and agressive is understandable, but it's getting old pretty fast. I really hope they improve their relationship in the upcoming episodes and don't play a jealousy game. It's also funny how they kill people, see and live violence day by day, but then they have some cheesy talk about "love" like Kinn had with his friends. It feels distorted from their reality. While some may argue even mafia guys have feelings, it's still strange. They have to be careful not to make this too cheesy and childish. Some good sex scenes aren't enough to call this "mature content". I trust them at this point, but seeing that they will have a date in the next episode and then the ex-boyfriend gets introduced ... the timing! Fanfiction stuff, really. The authors apparently were just sitting there and thinking about some new problem those two have to face. You can't really see how this all fits in the big picture if there is even any.
No seriously ... I know they put something over the private parts so the actors don't feel each others erection. Or they use some special underwear. But there was no underwear. Doing it under a blanket and faking penetration is pretty easy. But what they did in the last episode looks rather difficult. We saw so much of Porsche's body too. They only covered his d*ck.
I'm honestly curious how they do those sex scenes. Of course they won't show us in the BTS, but I'm still curious. We saw so much of Porsche's body in this episode. And those sounds ... I wonder what kind of tricks they use to make this look realistic.
The guy can't hold his liquor very well and oh seems immature haha but aren't all we sometimes
Porsche being naiv and the good guy is what attracts Kinn. He even said his type is the nice one. But Jesus ...! The whole Vegas thing ... it was so obvious Vegas is using him to piss off Kinn. He is not the brightest bulb in the chandelier.
Why is nobody talking about Build/Pete? The guy caught my eye from the very first episode. A natural actor, very charming and funny. He is also pretty convincing in his mafia role. Much more than Apo. You really think there is something more about him. I wouldn't want to mess with him, despite him coming across as such a dork. The actor really does a terrific job, but everyone is smitten by Vegas' hotness.
a lot of people are slandering kinn right now (at least on twitter) and i just wanted to say a few things. first…
No offense guys, but how everyone has to explain everything blows my mind. How does such a scene needs any explanation at all? Kinn has any right to be suspicious and angry. Porsche should get it together. He is constantly drinking and ending up in such situations. You would think he learnt his lesson by now, but nope.
There is a lot to like about this series. No doubt about it. But I still wonder why they feel the need to sugar-coat everything. Is it to keep it more mainstream? Apparantly the viewers like it. The episode was nice and enjoyable, but it felt like I was watching two different characters. Mile switched too fast to his real self. He seemed like the baby he is in real life. Apo's acting skills are next level, but his Porsche-character was all over the place in this episode. I couldn't grasp the character. I'm not really mad about it, and I will wait for what has to come. Maybe at the end of the day everything makes sense. Of course the plot was meant to be like this: that they showed us a different dynamic and a different personality (especially Kinn), because they are in the woods, only the two of them, without the whole pressure from the family/job/mafia thing. I still think they could have handled it better. Mile went in lightening speed from screaming and bossing around Porsche to be happy like a little child, because he caught a fish. I also feel like he apologized too often to Porsche. They include purposely scenes to please the audience like they did when Porsche discovered Kinn was gay, and they made him say like he doesn't care, it's no big deal. Reminds me of Bad Buddy where they tried to educate the audience about gay relationships. Watching the trailer I thought this is pretty dark stuff. And watching the sex scene in Ep 4 I must admit my jaw was on the floor. Now they try to make everything romantic and cute. I seriously think this is a bit messed up. I'm not bothered by it, though. I just feel it's strange. I woudn't recommend parts of this series for younger folks, but then again there are many other parts who young people would enjoy. It's like they mixed a cute BL series with a hardcore gangster movie and that's the result.
I like what they did with the characters. Don't know about the novel, but the soft approach is nice. I thought Porsche would be a bit bitchy after everything, and Kinn would be cold. Seeing Porsche so devastated was well done. Also Kinn tried his best to be not an asshole. How he was waiting for him to return, because he was worried, how he told him he doesn't have to ask for permission, how he went to his house to talk with him. And about the sex scenes with the girl/guy ... I didn't expect Kinn to stop. I thought he would go for it. Not sure about Porsche. But it was nice, that both didn't "cheat". I'm really impressed by the characters. I thought those characters are rather stereotypical and boring, but ep 4 proved me wrong. Considering the situation they both behaved pretty mature. I also like how they aren't awkward around each other. I don't know if the good acting is responsible for that, but Apo is doing a terrific job. It's difficult to approach Kinn, but he just does it somehow. Apo's acting is better than Mile's. But Mile has that strange aura that makes him perfect for this role. So I must say I'm finally invested in this series.
Apo killed it in this episode. I wasn't expecting anything. I thought this episode would be pretty weak. Didn't even want to continue my VIP pass. But I was wrong! The humour was funny, the tension was unbearable, the hot scenes/flashbacks were tasteful and really good, the emotions were surprisingly deep and mature. First episode with a high rewatch value. There is just too much good stuff, so you won't get everything the first time watching.
THE PORTRAYAL OF ANAL SEX IN BL'SI'm praying that the next episode skips the part in the novel where Porsche had…
"I can't say I liked it; women usually don't. But men do (because of their prostate gland), and that's the whole point. Gay men like anal sex and would not be having it if it injured them the way these BL's say it does."
You know, everyone is different. When I tried it, I was wondering for a while, why a women even needs a vagina, if you know what I mean. If you stimulate the clit at the same time, the orgasm are mind-blowing. So I liked it for sure until I got health problems. Which had more to do with ME, and not with the way I did it. But I'm pretty sure I'm not the only case out there. Many others may have similar problems. So I highly doubt that EVERY man likes it. I also highly doubt that EVERY gay couple out there does it on a regular basis for several reasons. How you can end up in hospital is beyond me, though. How everyone thinks that you need lube, is also strange. What did humanity do before the invention of lube? It's called spit. You need lots of it. The real issue with anal sex is more that it's impossible to be clean down there without preperation. But then again it's for everyone different, because of their diet. I have seen people claim that this is no issue at all, which I find laughable.
