It was a mess. Not only the plot, but everything I loved from s1 they destroyed it in s2.
But s1 was really good. I felt like everyone had fun doing this series. A creative passionate team came together and the result was great. How many BL series are out there where you feel they are just doing it for the paycheck?

Well, if it helps to make those bands better known to a younger audience. But it doesn't give the characters much personality. I'm honestly surprised that this is still a thing: hanging posters of bands on the wall. Team has some swimmers on them at least.

The music thing ...
I'm not that young anymore. I tell you 20 years ago teenagers and young adults had the same posters hanging in their rooms in TV series. It's Nirvana, AC/DC etc. It's supposed to be cool, lol. Always the same bands! He just needs a poster of James Dean and we are done. They didn't put any thought into it. I must praise Bad Buddy for that. Pran's room was gorgeous, very unique too. Pat's wasn't that spetacular, but it fitted his character. That was honestly the thing that I loved about the series the most: how much thought they put into little things.

But the ruined it with the 2nd season BADLY.

It's about the money. That's the reason why they have an uncut version you have to pay for, that's the reason why every episode is divided into 4 parts for more views per episode, that's the reason why we have so many pointless cute scenes with those drinks they have to advertise , that's the reason why we get 12 episodes despite this paper thin plot.
Honestly, they make a ton of money with BL nowadays. They became greedy.

I thought I would drop this series after ep 5, but the dramatic scenes with the outstanding background music and Prem's acting changed my mind. I'm really digging those scenes. Looks like they will finally do something with Win's character in the next episode. This can be good. Since they didn't disappoint until now regarding the drama, I'm hopeful.

Don't blame Prem. It's the character who is so badly written. I guess this shy-virgin-behavior is supposed to be sooooo cuuuuute 🥰 No idea, my brain cells are dying again. Team plays hard to get like he did in UWMA. It's the same dynamic. Back then Win was more fun and more flirty though. The whole older-brother-takes-care-of-younger-guy is not to my taste. I think I will throw my laptop when I hear Team say "Hia" again and again. This is trash. But it started so well! Despite Team being young and maybe inexperienced he did well to be on equal footing with his senior. He even questioned what kind of guy he is, and if what they are doing is beneficial for both. He is not stupid. Well, I thought. Now he is just going around looking for food and being cute so that someone can take care of him. Disappointing. Love? What is that even? Sharing snacks with someone? Btw: Win's acting is not good in this. It's not bad either. But sure nothing worth praising. Making his character too serious wasn't a good writing choice. Boun isn't an outstanding actor, but he is incredible charismatic that comes natural to him. Mostly his smile and his flirty expressions are his assets. They killed that completely. Serious looking Boun isn't doing much for me.

Such a pointless movie. Nothing new here. I feel old when people say "you have never seen something like this before". I have. Plenty of it. Go watch The Walking Dead, it's similar graphic and much more disturbing because you build a relationship with the character. That wasn't the case here. I didn't care about anyone dying. Why should I? We learned nothing about the characters. It's one of those movie where everyone gets killed in a blink of an eye without reason or meaning. Just for the gore. I liked the guy who survived at the end. There is potential for a sequel, but I wonder if they will make one. Please less gore then. It's pointless. I also wonder if people really bleed that much with some of those inflicted injuries. I don't think with smashing a head you can make a see of blood. But what do I know? I'm not being sarcastic. Maybe this was indeed a realstic portrayal of such violence and blood flow.

Talking about sex I think it's astonishing that those two couldn't keep their hands off each other, and now they behave like a long married couple. More balance, please! But again, most likely they have this checklist: ep 1 hot scene, check, ep 2 hot scene, check, ep 6 hot scene, check. They don't care about the flow of a story. Because this really interrupts the flow. We had more dramatic and serious scenes in ep 3, so now they could have went to a date and then do it again. No need to show it. But now they behave like that cute couple that's shy about sharing their first kiss.

And what do you want to watch about WinTeam? Their story is paper thin. That's material for a mini series or a movie. Team has his trauma which they can work on. But Win? Him being a middle child is not very interesting. He doesn't seem to be an interesting character in general. Despite his tattoos and his cool attitude they made sure to explain to us that he is a very tame person and not rebellious at all. I thought about it since ep 3 where they tried to make the characters know each other better. I have no idea what's there to come. There is just no material. There is not enough going on for this couple to carry a series. The problem AGAIN is not the actors, not even the characters, it's the writing. They could have done so much more. Make Win a more complex character! Start with that! They also reduced Team to the dumb cutie in the last episode like we knew him form UWMA despite showing us a more complex character in the first episodes.

Well, that's the case for almost all BL books. Only the smutty stuff becomes popular. That's rather discouraging for the authors out there who try to tell a good story.

They should have made a movie. But of course that doesn't bring enough money. They need the views. Now they are dragging this to eternity and back. There is not enough story to keep the viewers entertained.

Prem is doing better than Boun in this. And him being a shy kitten: In UWMA we saw the gorgeous sexy Win who was constantly flrting while Team was your typical cutie. So apparantly the top and alpha guy likes the cute little kitten. Yes. Seen before. Now in Between Us we get a new layer to Team's character which I think is brilliant. Those love scenes are well done, but Prem is making them work for me. In Ep 1 when he undressed Win he had a look on his face and that body language: he wanted him badly! In Ep 2 he tried to take control, wasn't that succesful, but how he moves his hand all over Win's body, shoulders, back, his face - he is much more into it. He is very alluring and controlling the pace. Boun can be glad Prem is saving their asses here. Jsut my two cents. I feel people get fooled by appearances too much. We all know Boun is too sexy for this world, but pay more attention to Prem's acting. it's good.

Honestly, I just feel people don't like this for whatever reason and look for something to pick on. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm not a fan of those boys, I'm not a fan of the director. Really not! I'm still not over my LBC 2 trauma! I watched this series just to see how bad it gets. But this is good - until now. This is solid. I have seen so many shitty BLs over the years! Which tragically explains my bad mood. But this is not bad. It can get bad! I'm still waiting for it to fail. But until now that's a quality you normally don't find in any BL. Like where? Tell me! I will watch it! The only criticism I would have is that the story is rather generic. But maybe that's also a good thing. They don't have the balls to go out of their comfort zone anyways. Please, not again a cheesy mafia story with dumb character who kill left and right while being sappy about their so important love life. Another trauma I'm still not over! Haha.

I disagree. Regarding bad production I think of a series like KinnPorsche where the didn't balance out the humor with the drama. Everything was all over the place. Or Love In The Air where they had the strangest and fakest coloring going on I have ever seen. Or The Eclipse where nothing was smooth and everything looked like the editor was drunk. Or Bad Buddy with those rather over-used sound effects in those silly fights. Same in The Eclipse at the beginning with the very loud and not fitting background music. I'm not bashing the mentioned shows, but this one in my opinion is solid. I really don't see any big problems here if not Win's changing hair and some bad make-up. The soundtrack is really good. The long pauses you mentioned - that's thai BL for you! They will never overcome it. But it doesn't bother me here. I have seen so much worse.

I don't see any issues with the production . Everything is pretty smooth, there are countless beautiful scenes, great background music, some good comedic timing, no silly sound effects. The few they have work well with me. It's overall pretty solid.

LOL clown makeup. So I wasn't the only one who was irritaed by the blue eye shadow and pink lips? Haha!

It was good from the start. I'm still waiting for it to go downhill, but no signs yet *crossing my fingers*
