This show is absolutely delightful. It just puts me in such a good mood. It feels like a well-thought-out series.…
The father is so different from other fathers. And the flirting with the mother who is so strict is very funny and cute. They really put a lot of thought into the side characters.
So I watched the drowning scene now 4 times to understand what you guys see in it. First, Prem's acting was not as good as I expected it to be. But nice to see that people praise him. FINALLY they understand he is good? Sorry, but I told you so from the beginning! He has a certain depth in his gaze which is very convincing during emotional scenes. Despite playing the dumb cutie half the time, he doesn't come across as shallow. In a more dramatic and challenging film the actor could surpass himself. There is potential. But just in detail. The drowning. It happened too fast at the beginning of the episode. As a viewer you couldn't really get into it. Cutting the scene in the middle, giving us the first part in the last episode and then just continue in the next episode was an odd choice. The music wasn't great. It was the kind of music they normally play when two guys have their first kiss. It runied the drama for me. Boun's acting was just okay. It was better than I feared it to be, but it was not great. His yelling with the eyes wide open while at the same time his mouth looked like he was smiling didn't convince me at all. Boun also has this attitude that he doesn't know how to look natural and relaxed when standing. That's something that I observed from many thai actors in the past. They don't know where to put their hands, how to stand, and just look stiff and unnatural. But overall he did better than I though. But nothing mind blowing. I see no potential, sorry guys. And people who think he is that great, are obviously blinded by his good looks. The whole scene left no impact on me, because everything is just so slow at this point. They somehow killed the intensity of the whole story. And then those dialouges and tears and screams seemed to come out of nowhere. Maybe if someone binge watches the series the impression is different than when you wait a whole week. But the pace overall is just too slow, too many dialogues and scenes are redundant at this point. But the side story was cute. I'm apparantly the only one who finds those ABC guys funny. The kiss was cute and natural too. So I made it to ep 6 and will most likely watch ep 7. But I'm not impressed by this episode.
Has anyone ever counted how many times the boys have been to the supermarket and how many times they have eaten…
They must make their sponsors happy. Advertising drinks, chips etc. The whole purpose of this couple in UWMA was to advertise those Lay's chips. And in an interview they didn't even know what kind of flavours they sell. Shallow.
I think the series doesn't know what it wants to be. The beginning was rather mature, complex, not your cheesy…
Well, I was one of the few who spread positivity and was praising this series to the moon and back, because the first 3 episodes were very nice. But now it's just your typical BL: cheesy, stupid, boring. That said, the industry is horrible. Just wait until you learn about what is going on behind the scenes. And since there is so much money involved, I wonder why they still have to do that stupid advertising. Btw: I bought YouTube membership to support the effort.
I'm sad to see so much negativity in this comment section... I, personally, am enjoying it very much so far. For…
I think the series doesn't know what it wants to be. The beginning was rather mature, complex, not your cheesy slow developing story. That was a turn off for many. And then there are people like me who enjoy some controversial, intense and complex content. Now I get bored because they make the story slow and cheesy like so many thai BLs which I didn't sign up for at all. So what kind of fans do they want to please? I love the NC scenes, but I also feel they are just doing it for views, because that's how it's done lately, despite them saying in an interview they had to do it so the story could move forward. The industry is just lost. So many different stories and genres, but they still don't manage to make good quality content despite all the money involved. There are still issues with the writing, the acting, the directing and editing, the plot, the pace. Between Us was able to provide us some very great scenes until now, but then they make lots of filler scenes and put many side characters in it just to slow down the pace to be able to fill those 12 episodes. It's all a big money grab and nothing more.
I think they do it, because the WinTeam story isn't that well thought out. I have seen people say that even in…
I think my problem is, that at the end they didn't do anything different. Look at KinnPorsche. Those first trailers were insane. Dark, gritty atmosphere, incredible fight scenes, fierce actors. But what did we get? A silly-rom com with some violence and cheesy talks. I could go on. They promise us a lot, but at the end we just get your typical boy-boy-story with sappy love confessions. The Eclipse was similar. It looked rather dark and mysterious. At the end it had not much plot and was cheesy.
You are not wrong. Boun is the more talented actor of this pair and Prem is doing his best, but he is a fish out…
Are you talking in general or about Between Us and Prem specific? That scene at the end of ep 2 was the hottest I have ever seen in my long watching BL carrer, haha. Like seriously ... We are all different, and find different things arousing. But that scene was out of this world. I'm maybe biased because I love the soundtrack so much, haha.

Hallelujah? Haha! Apo (Porsche) is a bad kisser. Don't know how it feels, but it doesn't look good. He opens his mouth too much. The kissing kings for me are still MaxTul. I think the guys from TharnType waren't that bad either.
Honestly, I think it’s bad writing and direction that hinders Prem - not his acting skills. I assure you that…
I have seen many people praising Prem's acting (me included). Some say it's bad. But I have seen almost nobody praising Boun's acting. Nobody complains about it either. So it seems to me that Prem's acting is controversial, mostly because the character is written in such a schizophrenic way. I think that's the reason why some see the good acting, and others don't. I will wait for Ep 6 to see if Boun can deliver in more dramatic scenes, because I think he can't. I have no worries about Prem's performance, though. He proved to me that he is doing great in those sad and tragic scenes.
We Best Love….now that is and excellent series about a reluctant at first love. Everything this series isn’t.
s1 was fun, colorful, exciting, innocent, passionate, straightforward. s2 was dark, heavy, messy, and made not much sense. They told the story backwards. They started somewhere in the middle with that 5 years gap. We had to guess what happened. The rivelation wasn't that great. Their lifes, their suits, their homes: it was boring, dark and depressing. The whole atmosphere changed. As a stand-alone mini series I would have liked it better, but it was just a strange continuation of s1. I felt like they changed the characters too much, especially Shu Yi who lost it's charm.
The couch scene was great, though, but also controversial, because apparantly the actor Sam was really drunk in the scene to be able to deliver a convincing performance. Everything was a bit of a mess.
I think they do it, because the WinTeam story isn't that well thought out. I have seen people say that even in…
Oh, I love NC scenes, if they are well done, and not only make sense for the plot, but both characters have to be well written. From the series you mentioned the only one I whole heartly enjoyed was Not Me. I was rather disappointed by some of the others. I'm still waiting for a series that blows me away, haha.

Oh no, don't keep up your hopes! Most of those BLs are based on novels. Those novels are popular because of the detailled sex scenes. So they know there is a big fanbase and many will watch the series. That's why they choose those stories in the first place. But then they make a series and have no plot. That's the case for many Thai BLs. Now they try to give us more NC scenes to boost the views. That's the new trend. Instead of good writing they give us more sex. The only decent writer I can think of is the woman who wrote To My Star, Where Your Eyes Linger and Blueming (it's Korean though). I'm not even a fan of her writing, but it's at least a bit more complex and makes you think and feel on a deeper level.
Ep 4 was a "huh?" to me. Ep 1: 9/10Ep 2: 10/10Ep 3: 9/10Ep 4: 3/10Ep 5: 4/10it's not looking good ... But well,…
It's the only one I watch too. I completely lost interest in the genre. I dropped so many series half way through lately. They start well, but can't keep up the quality until the end.
I think by having so many side couples the company is just fishing for data - which couple would be popular enough…
I think they do it, because the WinTeam story isn't that well thought out. I have seen people say that even in the novel we don't learn what happend to Team's brother. Is the novel unfinished? Or is it that short? I strongly feel there is not enough plot and story to work with. The writing is always the biggest issue in BL series. Always.
