I am curious how they will make this series into a bromance version since the original novel has a lot of NC scenes. Aside from the NC scenes, their interactions and dialogue are too intimate that I don't know how it can pass the censorship if they stick closely to the original novel.
I really want to read the novel after finishing the series. I feel that the novel might be able to provide a better…
Oh yeah, on that note, I'm pleading to whoever it is with Thai-English translation power, Please please please translate this novel. Or if there is any official translation, could somebody please inform us here?
I really want to read the novel after finishing the series. I feel that the novel might be able to provide a better explanation (or just explanation) to a lot of (still) unclear things in the series.
I like how the real author appeared at the end to pull us back to reality. To be honest, throughout watching the series, I kept wondering if the real author is someone like Gene (a male, not a female like most yaoi authors) and the story was based on his experiences mixed with fictional imaginations. Well, that ending certainly crushed my imagination/assumption. But I really hate the part with various Disney & Shakespearean themes. Too cringy for my taste. I think I got osteoporosis for those few minutes.
Ah yes. The dreaded 11th episode. 4 months. They seriously couldn't survive 4 months!??? With computers and prepaid…
Totally agree. They can just treat it as a temporary long-distance relationship. Although they can't meet physically, they can still take advantage of whatever hi-tech devices to chat and video call. There's no need to be that dramatic. Oh yeah, this is a drama.
I'm so glad that this drama also touched on the topic of actors private lives vs the shippers/fans. I personally don't care about my favourite actors/actresses private lives as long as they give their best on their projects. But I do know fans that can't seem to separate the lives of the character and the actor that played said character. One of my friends is such a fan. I tried to explain the differences between both and how their private lives and who they dated in real life do not matter, but well, she insists that it does matter. *shrug*
I think Mishil from Queen Seon Deok should be included in this list.

Hello ^_^
Sorry for the late reply. I do know you. I think we like the same japanese actors, esp Miura Haruma & Matsuda Shota. I'm also currently learning japanese, and chinese. I'm kinda in a drama slump right now, so I don't visit mdl as often as before. Currently trying to revive my past hobby by watching Jang Ok Jung, since the reviews look favorable. I'm in the mood for historical drama since I just got back from China visiting all those beautiful palaces, gardens & museums. Those places made me feel like stepping into the past and living in history.

Hello too. I don't think I have left yet, not completely anyway. But these few months I can't download anything because my harddisks broke. They make weird sounds everytime I tried to access them and the responses are super slow. So, no downloading/streaming means no watching. I feel like I'm currently on detox (drama detox). Gotta wait until after chinese new year to buy new harddisks and transfer all my data & settings. Then I can go crazy on downloading again. The queue would surely be extra long due to my temporary retirement.

Yup, he's very talented. He's my fave actor for martial arts movies. Btw, I highly recommend Wait Til You're Older, A World Without Thieves, and Infernal Affairs trilogy. They are great movies that have left deep impression on me. Their synopsis on MDL don't do them justice. There's a western remake of Infernal Affairs trilogy with Leonardo DiCaprio as the main lead, called The Departed. Please don't watch it before you watch the original version by Andy Lau & Tony Leung. The original trilogy is so much better. I think the western version focuses too much on the action thriller part and ignore the psychological and character development part. The Departed just took some plot points from the trilogy and joined them into one crime thriller movie that feels forced. I'm not saying the western counterpart is bad. It's just that it's not as good as the hongkong production. Btw, may I know where are you from? Just curious...

That happened to me before. I left the dramaworld for a few months and watch a lot of western movies during that time. Then suddenly one day I was in the mood to watch a drama and somehow the addiction was back. Oh, I never heard about DongYi sequel. Uh, with a drama that long, sequel is just not necessary. Especially because a lot of sequels suck more than the originals. Of course, some exceptions do apply, mostly for movies, like Infernal Affairs trilogy, Red Cliff and Ip Man. I love Nodame too :). It's also one of my favorite manga. The characters development and humour are so good. Nodame is weird but such a likeable character. I enjoyed the manga and dramas a lot. It always succeeds to lift my mood and makes me smile.

I feel quite bored with time travel dramas now, since I just marathon through one after another of the dramas that just keep appearing like virus (Faith,TSDJ,QIM,etc.). Some I really like (QIM), some make me wish I can go back in time and un-watched it (TSDJ). For now, I'm in the mood for some good ol'sageuk like Queen SeonDeok. I think I'll try The Great King's Dream and pick up Jumong when I have a bit more time. My plan-to-watch list keeps growing, but it's still only 24hours a day. 24h is just not enough to do all other things plus watching all the dramas I want to watch. Btw, thanks to you, I dropped DongYi from my list. I feel a bit doubtful when adding it since based on what I've seen of her, HHJ's acting is not strong enough to carry 60ep on her shoulder. It's a good thing you confirm my doubt. Thanks :)

Although I haven't finished it yet since I'm still downloading it in 1080p, I love JIN. It is a very well executed drama. The actors are so good it makes me feel the depth of the character. Their body language, the way they talk, their expression, etc. feels so real. Even the narrative hooks me in. This drama touches many aspects of life and makes me ponder on them. It doesn't help that it's a time travel drama and is told from the POV of a modern person. I'm a fan of sci-fi and history novels, to the point I often imagine a lof of what-if-I-wake-up-in-the-past-one-day scenario. I guess that's why I like BBJX. The difference is Jin is a guy and RuoXi is a girl. Also, Jin arrived in that world as a complete outsider, whereas RuoXi woke up in a body of a noblewoman. Plus, in ancient times, male have more freedom than female, so Jin can do a lot more things than RX, who is not only a girl, but is also a noble.

Yes, but haven't finished it yet. I'm waiting for withs2 subs. I think it has potential to be really great, but it starts to falter somewhere in the middle. It starts to get repetitive, boring and weak. They probably should've stuck with the original 24 eps instead of making it longer. At first, I like it so much I can't wait to watch the next episode. Now, I'm just waiting patiently for the subs and only watch it when I'm in the mood. I like the setting (the building, the mix of joseon & japanese things in the drama, etc).

I feel the same about ESK. The reason I give a 9 instead of 10. I think it feels a bit awkward how the character that is so intertwined with JH, HA & the princess is dismissed so easily. I don't mind the death either, but it should've been handled better. I guess they had to cut/change some parts to make the drama fit into 20 episodes.
Btw, I think Faith can be shorten to 18 or 20 episodes to make it better. Maybe the producer think 24eps are needed to satisfy LMH's fans.

I complain to my sister sometimes about the bad acting, the slow & sometimes repetitive plot, and the wrong use of slow-motion effects. But overall, it's quite enjoyable since it's a genre/premise that I like and I'm curious how the story will develop and end. Ah, plus the eye-candy. LOL. Faith is the only drama with LMH that I can bring myself to watch. I dropped BBF and don't dare to watch his other dramas since he can't act as well as I like.
Chinese sub.
As of now, no eng sub yet.
