Article Top 10 Korean Drama Heroes Spoiler
I second Hangebokhan. Bidam should be on the list! And after all the things he has done, he only get to call the girl's name seconds before his death. He is one of the most memorable characters in k-drama land.

BBJX is a completely different type of drama than Gong. The original novel is actually much better. You get to know and understand every character deeper in the novel. The novel is written from RuoXi's POV. But if you don't read chinese, the drama is as good as you can get. I especially appreciate the costume, props (e.g. tea cups, umbrella, etc.) and the directing after rewatching it in HD. Hmm, I think the script of a drama is important. Then comes the acting, directing and editing, not necessarily in that order. Of course, sometimes an amazing actor can turn a half-decent script into something amazing too. I don't expect romance in every drama I watch. As long as the execution, acting and story is good, I'm good to go. Although sometimes I watch a bad drama just because of the eye-candy factor, like Faith. Lee Min Ho can't act well, but he's cute in the warrior's costume. LOL, I'm still a girl at heart.

Jade Palace is definitely not a go-to drama for me. I think it's just basically a chinese version of Boys Before Flowers with historical chinese setting (they even include that grabbing-wrong-hand-and-run-with-the-wrong-girl-at-the-engagement-meeting scene). But they even whacked up the history part. The plot feels forced. The acting is actually decent. I think Yang Mi & Feng Shao Feng are pretty good actors, but their talents are pretty wasted in that production. That said, somehow I managed to finish that long drama. So I guess it's not that bad after all, although I got an urge to strangle the screenwriter throughout it.

You're welcome :). Yeah, I think I'll like them too. They seem like my kind of dramas. I actually prefer dramas that have love as condiment/side dish, not as their main dish. I plan to watch BBJX 2, just to see what it's going to be about, and if it's as good as the first. I truly hope they will just continue the story from the BBJX's last scene, not just use the previous actors and make up/remake a whole new story.

This is one of the best drama I've seen this year. The writing/script is good, the setting and costume is great…
Ah, I haven't finished this anyway. Still a few episodes to go.

This is one of the best drama I've seen this year. The writing/script is good, the setting and costume is great without being too overwhelming, the directing and editing is solid, and you can tell the actors/actresses were giving their best. Some are not so good, like Mok Dan's character, but nothing is perfect. I cried a lot during some of the scenes anyway.
