I'm only through 4 now but the brother is just creepy. Not even his personality (even though it is) but I think its just the actor? idk... His expressions and smile are just super off-putting to me

I don't think the son is the big bad, but he definitely isn't a good kid. Remember he straight up murdered his psychiatrist and was smiling afterwards. He is most definitely a psychopath/sociopath, even his conversations with his mom show that.

Is he though? I thought he was the one that manipulates the red strings and she has none. If he was trying to set those 2 up, wouldn't she have a string attached to the detective? It seems to me more like he is trying to keep her alone

Yeah they literally have carefree lives and expect him to deal with everything. The only one with any inconvenience is the one that turns into a dog randomly. That shit would be annoying since there seems to be no rhyme or reason for the change. At least in GDTBAD there was a known time frame she could work with. Also, the "ugly" brother is by far my least liked character. He is so whiny and narcissistic.

Another thought on this. In 1993 people that were given the red book died on heavy snowfall days. So wouldn't the day he told her to stay inside and freaked out because she went out technically the safest day for her to go out? Killer should already have plans... And they kinda hinted that with the girl in the red coat at the same convenience store BR was at

They didn't make any kind of a deal about that in the show. Surprised me TBH. Like, the whole premise is the 1000th time you climb the mountain a man will be there for you. ML was and immediately after shes like 1 more time till 1000! So weird that they didn't even have ML or FL comment on that

This show started great to me but the writing is all over the place now and no where near the potential the first week showed it could have. This is more of a turn brain off and watch type of show at this point. If it keeps going downhill in the next few weeks I see myself dropping it

Yeah the pre-amnesia felt kinda rushed. Like the wedding scene then hate each other immediately. It didn't show anything at all about their relationship pre about to divorce at all

This is very close to how I rate things as well. If I am able to finish it it gets at least a 5.

I watched it. You're now comparing apples to oranges though. PMR is a revenge makjang style romance where this is a fantasy romance drama.
PMRs pacing was amazing, however that doesn't make it the norm. This pacing is still moving at a good pace. Also, 12 vs 16 episodes changes the pace.

As for your 2nd point.... that doesn't even make sense. They should be in the contract marriage until the end of the 3rd episode?!? Then what? They break up? They started in the relationship? Do Hee had no interest in a relationship until the stipulation was put out AND didn't even know Koo Won, so how does that play out in your head? That would be a completely different story line. I'm seriously lost on how you think there is no story being told in this show when the romance plot is moving along at a faster pace than most dramas. Normally whoever is chasing realizes feelings in ep 5 or 6 then a couple more episodes until it comes out and is mutual. In My Demon, she realized it almost immediately and in ep 4 into 5 he is realizing that he likes her. I haven't seen ep 6 yet so I can't comment on it yet, but that alone is already a faster pace than the majority of romance K Dramas.

If you don't like the slow pacing, watch Western shows. They are faster to the point

Well other than the contract marriage part everything in the intro has and is happening. I think the story is progressing well honestly. Did you want them to already be together in ep1? That never happens in K-Dramas

I personally think her acting is portraying the character well. It is over the top a bit, but this is the first time in her life that she has had feelings for a guy and him not be hurt so she is giddy and hopeful. I think in real life anyone would be acting a bit over the top and eager like she is.

finished ep 3 and literally there's only 3 characters that are even somewhat decent people. I don't think I'm going to be able to watch a show where everyone is so detestable

I believe all the places to stream that are on MDL is worldwide. It's not on US Netflix but somewhere in the world it is so it was added for that purpose.

Yeah they got exactly what they deserve. Feel real bad for that kid though. Both parents being horrible people and in a loveless relationship. On top of that, all the extended family is estranged with the exception of his horrible mother and sister
