Reina is way more blatantly evil than SooMin was imo. I just finished ep 3 and it's really apparent now, but even in episode 1 it felt obvious that she was a major manipulator and liar. I think the SooMin character, even though she was evil af, you could see how people were friends with her and how she was able to manipulate JiWon so much. I love the way Suzuki called her out though
Just finished the first episode and it's very well done and entertaining so far. Her ex in this version already seems way worse than in the Korean version, but that could be in part not being able to look past LYK's role in Waikiki lol.
I will say though, at least he put some effort into the proposal in this one. You couldn't even consider it bare minimum effort in the Korean version lol
I watched "Perfect Marriage Revenge" and knew that this was similar in the reincarnation sense — I saw a lot…
I get the comparison between the 2 because of the reincarnation and them coming out so close together, but I loved both of them and felt that other than that one fact, they are entirely different. IMO, this one is slower because she has more, possibly indefinite, time. In PMR, FL had a set time limit to make things right, and it was only a year. In MMH, she went back 10 years and doesn't have a constant reminder of her Day of Death. PMR is also a lot more revenge focused, and mainly her family over her (ex)husband while MMH is more of an office romance story that has FLs revenge directed at (ex)husband and mistress as an additional main plot.
BTW, who did you not like in MLs family other than the brother? I thought the whole family was awesome except for him
TBH it's After watching the 1st 2 episodes it's so boring I am thinking I will continue to watch this or not
I'm really enjoying it and have from the start, but the pacing of ep 3 and 4 are the same as 1 and 2, so if you aren't liking it by then I'd probably say you won't enjoy it. It seems the pacing is going to be consistent.
I don't think people read the synopsis. I think a lot of people see an actor they like and go in completely blind…
Fair point, but I think there were enough context clues even in just the first half of ep 1 that it's going to happen a lot. I didn't even think about putting the fact that most of the posters are all 5 of them eating together.
What's with all the comments complaining about the eating scenes? The synopsis even points out they eat together, and the very first scene with the FL is her reading about the "Lunch Crew" or w/e they called it. It was obvious to me that they were going to eat together a lot and talk about life/cases while eating, even before starting it.
Seriously, if something as mundane as them going out to eat makes it into the synopsis, it means it's going to happen a lot
The ex-wife needs to have An Ju Hyeong brought up for disciplinary hearings for conflict of interest and have…
I was actually expecting her to butt in earlier, like she did with the precedent on the eviction case. I was surprised she didn't say anything to the ex until after the case was over, and even that was just a "You're too late tonight, don't wait out here."
First we have the ML, so incredibly professional, he won't drop out of a case against his ex. And she is actually…
I think he's actually suing for wrongful death, not the cheating. She can't really countersue since she is the drunk drivers proxy basically in the lawsuit. The cheating is just a separate issue that makes the wrongful death case more complicated emotionally and morally
Interesting that wife attacked Ha Sang Gi as the lawyer but it’s setting up his backstory for us. That husband…
Yeah, I'm assuming the same. I don't dislike or even really blame Sang Gi for it since it is his job, I was just saying out of everyone involved in that lawsuit, he definitely has the worst look at this point.
Really, the fault lies in the legal system though. The only person who should be able to be sued imo is the drunk driver, who's dead. I'm okay with filing it against his estate, but they shouldn't be able to sue the widow and children specifically for the actions of their husband/father, and I think the idea of her having to completely let go of the inheritance she and her family absolutely deserve in order to not be penalized in his place is absolutely stupid.

The issue is he didn't even want to name the kids. Sang Gi talked him into it because it's then a bigger payday. I think the case is actually painting Sang Gi in the worst light out of all the parties. Yeah, the husband shouldn't be suing her just because he's in pain and wants to take it out on someone; and yeah, the wife is yelling and blaming everyone. But she made a very good point on how disgusting it is that he named 2 children under 10 as defendants and imo that's the most despicable part of the entire case, which was entirely Sang Gi's idea
Omg, I was soo glued on this ep. that I didn't realise the ep. ending. Okay, my Hui Ji has a major major crush…
I could be wrong, but I think Mun Jeong is not pregnant and was sad that she wasn't. Probably one of those not trying, being late and getting used to and into the idea of being pregnant, then finding out you're just late. I was actually focusing on it and I only saw one line on the test strip when she spun it
Very different legal system than here in the states! I’m always intrigued as to how they handle cases. Also…
AFAIK, civil cases in the US are usually done with just the judge. You can request a jury, but I think the court fees of it are on you. The only time you are guaranteed a jury trial is if it is a criminal case
Viki is bad about not updating the available shows in the app without first closing, then reopening the app. It could have been that as well. Refreshing, or watching something else on Viki in the meantime doesn't always populate the new releases
It's very weird to me that the actual plaintiff and defendants rarely have to go to court as long as they have a lawyer. It's still their life/money/etc that's being argued and ruled upon, so I would want to be there regardless, and I think it should be required that you're there if you're named
well it’s the writing, the nurse says he still needs to go to the hospital but then he takes a handful of painkillers…
I mean, it makes sense that he's repeatedly doing heavy blows to DongJu's head. He's literally trying to kill him and even without DongJu being punch drunk and concussed, that's still the best way to kill someone in a fist fight. He's just using DJ's weakness to his advantage.
I'm not excusing the coach, I'm just saying him using that knowledge makes sense since it's his goal to actually kill him
I would’ve agreed with you if people were hating on it in initial eps but after 13 eps I think people do have…
I agree with your point, but I'm closer to like the 3/4 mark of the drama is the point of no return. I enjoyed this drama at first, still liked it but was getting frustrated with it after ep 10, and it's progressively been getting more frustrating, and was really annoyed towards the end of 12 but I'm not going to stop watching it entirely since there isn't that much left of the show. I might just pause the eps a couple times to do something else and come back to it
So a rich guy decides unilaterally that he wants a divorce, agrees not to get a lawyer, ignores that agreement and the entire issue is he doesn't want to give her $15K US? I wouldn't want to be his lawyer either lol. That dude is pure scum
I will say though, at least he put some effort into the proposal in this one. You couldn't even consider it bare minimum effort in the Korean version lol
