There's been quite a few BL dramas that came out this year, and Friendly Rivalry was GL adjacent, so I'm assuming SK changed a law or something where there isn't as much restrictions on gay romance for dramas. Could absolutely be wrong though

I'm planning on giving it a try this weekend, but not expecting much tbh. The last 2 (actually 4) romcoms I tried were pretty bleh. Seems like it's not the year for KDrama romcoms

She's not supposed to serve him. He wants her to and she's been refusing to all her life. She's basically a natural shaman but doesn't have a guardian spirit, so she isn't a full on shaman

One thing about that though, shamans are banned from the capitol. Sending her there, even if she was able to help, was still essentially a delayed death or banning sentence.

If we do, probably only in flashbacks. Maybe (I HIGHLY doubt) Yun Gap comes back towards the end and Gang Cheol will return to his other form, but I'd put that at like .0000001% chance of happening

To me, the whole drama was meh, like a 6.75. There was a lot of filler and just plain weird plot lines. The most glaring example is the 3rd couple. I can see being friendly with your ex, but they were way beyond that, to the point that her bf calls him to take care of her when she's passed out drunk in a hotel room? Or the girls dorm manager, who kicked the FL out after staying 1 night was just completely cool with him practically living there? They spent so much time on that couple, then gave it no real conclusion, so other than taking up time, what was the point of it?

Both shows had the cast to make good shows, it's the execution and script of both that's the problem imo. I'm caught up on Divorce Insurance and going to finish it, but I'm not even finding the motivation to watch Crushology any more and haven't seen the last 2 eps yet

lol I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if you were right tbh. This script is pretty bad and could see that just not having a conclusion

Absolutely, but at least from what we were shown, he was pretty vocal about being sick of strangers knowing every little (curated) thing about them

I fully get the divorce happening right now. I don't think I could ever be with an influencer that posts every single thing about their/our lives like she is. Especially at the point that she is where you can't even have comfortable furniture because it won't look good on IG

Hyeri personally picked and bought JaeYi's wardrobe for Friendly Rivalry, so some do. It's funny though, because she also said almost none of it is her style so she probably won't wear a lot of it again. (From her YT channel interview with Hye Won)

It was NGs fault, but it was a joint report. She shouldnt throw her coworker under the bus like that, especially since she also is to blame since hwr name is on it

Egg Drop looks delicious. I've had Subway and Quiznos and imho they both are trash. I do find it funny though when they have fancier meetings and team dinners at Subways in dramas though lol (not in RP, just in general)

Also the one where she blamed the paper error on Nam Gyeong. "Oh I didn't do that part, it was her"

And to start trying in 2 months. It's disgusting either way, but she wouldn't be, or barely be fully healed by then. Literally just his breeding tool

Kopiko is a staple. Occasionally, they switch out Subway for Quiznos or Egg Drop. But there's almost always a sandwich place lol

It's such a common trope in dramas when the FL is divorced and it's extremely annoying. I don't understand why it's so hard to tell your own parents that your SO cheated, and in this case is also abusive, and let them continue to think SHE'S the problem and they had the greatest SIL.

I really don't get the point of making the 2nd couple so unlikable. Yeah, Na Rae wound up helping in the end, but she's still an irritating backstabbing character. Mr An talked her into helping, but his coworkers job was on the line, and the entire teams careers were going to take a blow but he just stayed silent about Na Rae's involvment just because he's into her I guess?

Even beyond all that, they are just generally unlikable characters. Mr An has like 3 "jokes" that happen every single episode, and they were barely funny the first time, let alone the 20th. Na Rae acts like she has the right to interfere in Ki Juns life a lot of times and is just generally a superior attitude annoying character
