usually the preview is published a day after on kakaotv youtube/instagram.
the problem is that kakaotv on youtube restricted access to South Koreans only. There are some fan instagram accounts that sub/upload the preview though. I will drop a link for you asap.
Gah I'm going to slit my wrist with bananas from the sheer frustration of it. Yo script writer, you need your…
This is because Jaewon's support system only consists of his cousin, and basically his own cousin just keeps scoffing and making fun of him rather than give Jaewon a reality check. Jaewon looked so social on his holiday. I wonder if he just is a workaholic that only relaxed during his free time.
I need Jaewon and Sunyoung to become friends. They can be real with each other and he'd benefit from her fire, and she from his passion.
I feel the same. Especially the boycott tweets are making me furious, because I bet those will watch KSH in That…
I don't see what's wrong with either love scenes. One was cute, realistic how the first time between a couple is, when they were young. The other was hot and sizzling and full of fire. Both chemistries are chef's kiss (albeit right now the cousin couple is boring me, but that's another story).
All the actors here do a fine job. 3 hours of kdrama isn't even much. I'm thinking they should have released the first 4-6 episodes, and then switch to weekly drama. Now I've seen many people complain about episode 1, even episode 2. To me it's just baffling. Because The first episodes were my favourite ones.
I have read so many mixed reviews regarding this drama. But I for one genuinely loves it. I just dont know how…
I feel the same. Especially the boycott tweets are making me furious, because I bet those will watch KSH in That Night (Backstreet PD), yet they keep slamming the actors who played in this drama. If you don't like it, fine, but if you just run off your mouth, without even giving this a chance, then you're just being selectively blind and ignorant.
Half of me wishes they'd have published all episodes in one go, so one could keep watching it and fall in love. This way, however, we look forward every Tuesday and Friday, because we don't know what happens.
hahaha that#s what i said. his passionate energy and her cool air ~~ fire and ice+~ I mean it probably won't happen
Same. Maybe they need a little distraction from their current sorrows ;). She doesn't look happy either, also seen drinking. I wonder if she even goes out much, because in all the shots she is seen alone.
Pls tell me this is interesting, not as boring as a lot of recent romance dramas and there's actually drama happening
No, this story isn't "lovey dovey". Sure there is a part that is whirlwind romance, summer feelings, but these feelings pictured in breathtaking flashbacks is "overshadowed" / contrasted by the sad reality of present times. The first 4/5 episodes deal more with what has happened with the various couples. From now on, there will be focus on present.
The first episode is what most people are polarised about as it is completely fresh to kdrama scene and the interview format is something to get to used to, as the first episode introduces the setting and characters. The second episode will burn you, it's fire and chemistry, and the interview part gets shorter. The end of second episode is wild, and each further episode is a tumultuous ride of blissful happiness, fun, sadness, anger, frustration. It's the complete opposite of boring.
_______ And an added note to more JCW "fans" who claim this project is "boring" (because it's not action). He said in a recent interview (December 2020) that he will continue to act and do action movies. Please be respectful of his choice for having chosen this beautiful script, PD and co-actors. If this series is not for you, stop saying it's boring because he does "action so much better". Just wait. Have patience.
This show is BRILLIANT. The rating keeps dropping without people making comments. JCW has gotten some haters ever…
Yeah exactly. The actors can't predict, how the entire team will work, besides the actors won't exactly know what the other characters that don't pertain to them will do, they could also make or break a drama.
In any case, he has said in so many interviews that he had not known he was typecast as action star (in his view it was because he did also historical, slice of life etc) because his most popular, recent dramas were action, when a fan told him why he only does that, he thought about it. In any case, later he said he doesn't want to do action, because it affects his health. Even though he looks pretty young, he isn't 20 anymore. Besides, there was too many action scenes in The K2 and he is known to be a hardworker. So imagine how many times he had to do it.
Somehow I wish he would move to a bigger agency that could protect him from all of this. Then again, he probably would not get as much freedom to do what he wants?
This show is BRILLIANT. The rating keeps dropping without people making comments. JCW has gotten some haters ever…
Sorry, I'm just sensitive because I loathe this kind of activism that actually destroys another person. We don't know what happened. I doubt the actors knew what would happen with the script. It's not like they will get entire script before they take on a role.
As for ex-fans, why obsess over something in the past? I wish people who call themselves fans, would actually support.
It was just released and the rating drops to 7.9. Is it really bad? I was actually hoping that this will gonna…
This show is BRILLIANT. The rating keeps dropping without people making comments. JCW has gotten some haters ever since Backstreet Rookie, because of some of the problematic stuff. Yet, he is the only one who gets all the hate, what about SBS, the WRITER (main culpability for writing in that character and that scene), the PD and what about his co-lead star, Kim Yoo Jung?
I truly wish people would at least invest 4 hours in this. So like 8 Episodes, equals 4 kdrama normal length episodes. In any case, you will be surprised to see the show. Even haters cannot deny that it is novel, fresh and unique. The stories are relatable, the scenes shot amazing and beautiful, and the acting is superb - last b ut not least: the chemistry is chef's kiss.
Try at least 2 episodes, please, since your curiosity has been aroused already.
I feel like her character is hilarious as the "typical" evil 2nd lead, constantly mistaking the seduction attempts…
The concubine is boring to me, as all her scenes with the Queen are the same. Her batting away Mr Queen's friendliness with arrogance, disrespect (no bowing? storming Mr queen's fathers house?)
She isn't doing much apart from walking around and looking like a frail flower. At least it looks like she will raise some hell from the next episodes onwards...
this drama is a total mess :(i really wanna see JCW in a good drama and i keep getting these kinds of dramas after…
Can you pinpoint the "mess"?
It's a fresh format. I think for what it is, it's truly remarkable. It's supposed to portray realistic take on today's love and dating of city people. For some people it's "too fast" for others "too slow". Of course, that's all subjective, just as my opinion.
The storyline only gets better - there are still 11 episodes left. So far, only 2.5 hours of content, and in those 2.5 hours, we have been shown breathtaking cinematography pleasing to the eye, the choice of music is excellent - and the acting, the writing.
JCW in this drama shows a new side. He's enigmatic. Even when he doesn't speak (another point for this drama, the dialogue, repartee). The K2, yes he was /hot/ but the storyline was ... a Mess.
Ji chang wook is one of my favorite kdrama actors. One of the few who tries different type of roles/genre and…
Yeah I agree. That emperor performance and as Healer (not just best couple), should have gotten him many awards. The other acting I also enjoyed, but it's debatable.
I notice that Lee Min Ho always gets Top Excellence with any SBS drama he ever did...
I liked some parts of the story, but also had some concerns, especially after watching the press conference live chat of the cast - Rinyi/Gyungjoon: Their "breakup" seems to be not really serious anyway. The fact that she tried to fight off the smile, and the "apology". It was just like... Plsssss we are so fun together. It wasn't at all emotional, more cutesy. So I can't believe that it was a real break-up, even though he carried stuff to her work.
Sunyoung/Geon: So her cool girl is a bit of a facade, seeing as she broke up with him as she considered Eunoh a threat to their relationship. It's nice to see past her polished appearance and get into the nitty gritty stuff. I can understand that she was emotional and asked for all the stuff back. This was a true, messy breakup.
Jaewon/Gyungjoon: First of all, in the live chat JCW said Jaewon has no friends. So basically he only has his cousin. yet the cousin keeps making fun of Jaewon's heartbreak. Yeah ok, so he had just a 2 month relationship in comparison to your 10 year relationship. But that doesn't mean anything. I did enjoy their scene from Episode 4, but in the interviews, he's not really supportive but laughing with his gf. Is it really that funny, to suffer heartbreak even now, and be lonely? The only one who has been empathetic to him, was actually Sunyoung. And Jaewon clearly lied when he said he gave her all 3 cameras, yet he is called pathetic. Yeah, maybe - but try kicking his ass so he can stop moping?
Jaewon/Seonah: If this is a realistic thing, is Seonah going to end up with Geon? Maybe. It's not that out of the blue.
Another almost-meeting at the photo-shop. She should know he goes to that studio, the architecture firm seems to be in the neighbourhood, and yet she goes and develops film. Yeah, she still has feelings - which is just tugging my heart strings, as I see Jaewon's desperation, the mystery of it, that he needs an answer. This is relatable.
Although I enjoy the chemistry between JCW/KJW, I think there should be some scenes between Sunyoung and Jaewon as well. For some reason I think they could be a good match as well.
I need Jaewon and Sunyoung to become friends. They can be real with each other and he'd benefit from her fire, and she from his passion.

Yeah I also wish they had 1hour or at least 45 minutes episodes, because then all couples could be fleshed out more.
It's a whirlwind romance, so it fits that things happen fast.
She isn't doing much apart from walking around and looking like a frail flower. At least it looks like she will raise some hell from the next episodes onwards...
