no problem, i don't blame you for forgetting because i feel like the novel is so long and emotionally exhausting, all their fights start to blend together LMAO

i didn't watch the other ones but i personally didn't think ls3 was good purely from a technical standpoint, i felt like they recycled the same conflict over and over for 12 50min episodes and it was so boring. but i guess if you like watching melodramas and conflict, you might enjoy it.

she's actually one of the few reliable characters in this story so yes, love her!!

in the novel it explains that ing bullied itt so bad in childhood that he got messed up psychologically, he hates ing for his cruel personality but also wants to be seen as worthy/accepted by ing. personally i think it was his need to be able to possess/dominate ing after he realized that he was being pushed away when ing falls for yok.

i think they're just speaking generally when ing called pite itt's cousin. pite is ing's biological cousin from his mom's side (my aunts son), but i guess in familial terms, since itt is ing's brother, pite is his cousin socially rather than biologically.

in the novel its 18 and 27, but in the series they aged up yok to be 20yrs old

i think what kind of bothered me about it were all the camera angles and how choppy the scene ended up being, i feel like if the music was a bit lower and there were fewer jumpcuts to let us actually see the emotions of the characters going through the scene, it would have made it more bearable.

thats the reason ing's character is so popular in the danmei fandom, he's mean and arrogant on the outside but he's waaaayyyy too softhearted with people he loves/family, even if he ends up suffering

he does admit it in the novel. after suiying catches liyu confessing to suilin and gets mad, liyu explains that he liked suilin since they were young, and those feelings got confused/changed after getting into a relationship with suiying. his feelings for suilin were puppy love/protection, while his feelings for suiying were more deeper and possessive.

i cant describe how dumbfounded i was after finishing episode 4 and hearing 'yo wtf, goofy ass b*tch' like who was responsible for this 😭

props to whoever was responsible for costumes, esp thin's-- idk how period accurate they were but his wardrobe of light colored suits and clothes look so good on ongsa

i personally enjoyed it and think poohpavel have great chemistry, but your own enjoyment is entirely dependent on whether you can overlook pooh's (objectively) poor acting...

i get what you mean about wanting more of zhang zhun and zhen xin but the screen time of both couples is intentionally equal because the stories are supposed to mirror each other, and the back and forth of their stories is supposed to imitate the way zhang zhun/zhen xin's acting kind of merge with fangchi/gao zhun's characters, hence the title 'deep in the act'. zhang zhun and zhen xin are not the only main characters, all four of them are because even in the novel their screen time is split this way to emphasize parallels in their relationships
