I read about the haters, and this is the first time i experience it here. Feels sad that anyone would do that. Probably due to envy. Hope fairness reigns in the end.
The friendship between Dr Gu and Lin Zhi Xiao is heart warming. The anticipation of further progress in their relationship is what keeps me glued to the screen.
Started to watch this drama for no other reason than Xiao Zhan. His skills in playing different roles is evident. This role is so different from his roles in other dramas, a testament to his skills as an actor.

Simply put: I think- TV version is for local audience (China only) . (shorter in order to accommodate TV advertisements?) DVD version is for international audience (plus China audience with internet)
I think it is actually nice of WeTV to provide us with both versions. Can just choose and follow one version throughout.
😭😭 I just saw Xiao Zhan's speech on Dr Gu during the OOL release conference ( I think I am late- was from a few days ago). So so touching. He talked about Dr Gu, himself and how he can be an example to us. Feel so blessed knowing this boy.
I understand that one of Xiao Zhan's method is to study real persons in their job and observe their expressions and mannerisms so that he can portray his character genuinely. But , it is just uncanny how much Dr Gu resembles my own gastroenterologist (not from China). The same calm, cool exterior with just a hint of a smile, but never a full laughter. The same way of conversing- always on point, crisp conversations. Gives me goosebumps.
Of course, XZ is way more handsome but my gastro doc is not bad looking either. 😊
