sometimes in life, once the window of opportunity passes, then it is gone forever. and that opportunity doesn't come back anymore. Maybe, OOL drama is one such example.
But I am still grateful to the role OOL played in XZ's career. Without OOL's songs and Tencent, XFX in China would not have got the opportunity to stage the Red Sea for XZ. As a recent fan of XZ, I can see how precious that moment was to XZ and XFX. That opportunity was seized beautifully by XFX China, and it was thanks to the existence of OOL.
So, even if OOL drama may be a lost opportunity, it still has played a huge role in XZ's life. For that, I am eternally grateful already.
Just read the comments here. First, didn't know till now that TV stations are so complicated. Second, Xiao Zhan's fans are so funny. great sense of humor π
What a GREAT project Xiao Zhan chose. I read that the director and producer and the whole team is top notch with…
A good actor will welcome the challenge of making the ordinary become extraordinary and inspiring. Xiao Zhan seems to be the type who wants to challenge himself and expand his horizons.
Yesss! Modern drama, well 70s, but still pretty close and not military. Looking forward to it. XZ and LQ make…
Agree. Looking forward to seeing him expand his acting portfolio into another era. Playing ordinary people achieving dreams would hit home for most of us.
I am watching in 2021- a year late- I am surprised Jerry and Shen Yue did not win any acting award for this show. Such splendid performances by both, especially Jerry. He tackled so many complex emotional scenes naturally and with so much depth. Amazing chemistry between the leads.
After watching the show, I think the age gap criticism has been unfair to both of them.
To be fair, the draggy parts were the stories about the secondary characters. Those were the bits that could justify the bored comments.
