I didn't get that feeling from the scene tbh. Maybe they were actually worried it'd make him feel sad but what I took from it was that they wanted to just drop him so they weren't held back from the auditions. I'll have to rewatch that scene again and think about it.

Not only are they friends, he helped recruit and train them and they didn't even have the decency to say anything to his face. I'm glad he called them out on it but if it were me I would no longer trust them with any information. And I'm disappointed that Fah didn't shut that shit down.
