That sort of humor basically vanished in ep 3 and 4. That comedy was essentially bait.

I feel bad for the people who dropped this after 1 or 2 episodes. While I personally loved the cheesy comedy in the first episodes, it started to become apparent by the 4th episode that this is a story about personal growth. It's not just a goofy little comedy with no depth. We have 2 people who feel like they're hitting rock bottom and they're trying to find their way back up.
