Iām finding it a bit exasperating that criticism or dislike of Song Yi Meng is being construed as misogyny on some platforms. Apparently, disliking her character = disliking complex female characters š Or it somehow means youāre putting Nan Heng on a pedestal. Those kinds of assumptions just feel so baseless. Why canāt people disagree without resorting to personal attacks? Just needed to vent a bit. I really appreciate the range of perspectivesā including the ones I donāt agree withā in this thread š
It's a bit confusing, but the alternate ending is added on to the last episode.
Ling Xiao Xiao gives up cooking to be with the prince. The alternate scene shows them as emperor and empress in their old age and the FL cooking in the kitchen.
That does seem likely, especially given how the crown princeās character has been developingā he feels more like a minor antagonist at this point. At first, I wasnāt sure what direction they were taking the third prince in, whether heād be a 2ML, an antagonist, or both. And honestly, Iām still not entirely sure xD So Iām looking forward to seeing his character explored further!
Because I watched Kill Me Love Me first, itās weird seeing Shao Wei Tong aid the crown prince here when he was Liu Xue Yiās subordinate there xD I really loved his performance as Qing Yan, and Iām glad to see him with Liu Xue Yi again, even though theyāre on opposite sides. I hope Huai Jin and Zhen Zhen have good endings T.T The prince seems quite incompetent, and I really donāt like him, but Iām interested in his backstory as well.
Same here š„² I couldnāt care less about the (fake) harem, but his voice ⦠the dubbed voice ruins LXYās…
Completely agreed T.T I keep on imagining what his voice would sound like during particular scenes. And from what Iāve seen, virtually no one is happy that his voice is dubbed š Iām still really enjoying the drama, but :ā)
Iāve accepted it after a week since its been known š„¹ the good side though is i can focus on his eyes and…
Ooh I was wondering why Jiang Taohuaās voice sounded familiar! Duan Yixuan also voiced Liu Miantang (Are You the One) and Hua Liuli (Royal Rumors) xD Thank you!!
Iāve accepted it after a week since its been known š„¹ the good side though is i can focus on his eyes and…
Do you know who is dubbing his character? I checked drama wiki, but no voice actor has been listed yet. If only his voice was paired with his eyes and microexpressions š„²
Everyone seems to be up in arms over the harem, while Iām still mourning the loss of Liu Xue Yiās voice š Why oh why did they dub him?? it feels like they baited us with the previous trailer š¢ Iām still not over his not-voice š Does anyone actually know why his character ended up being dubbed?
Please donāt change Etoileās character (Cho Eun Ae) T.T I really appreciated how the manhwa had no love triangle and how the SFL wasnāt a white lotus or Ripleyās (Cha Seon Chaek) enemy. I really hope this doesnāt change :ā)
I loved the premise of the story, but it became unnecessarily melodramatic and angsty for my taste, which is a shame because Tong Dawei and Liu Shishi had great chemistry imo. Iād love to see them paired in another drama !
I agree with you.. but ZYL really did a good job and so all other side chars.. my heart is mostly for ZYL.. this…
Iām really enjoying Zhang Yunlongās acting as well! And I love seeing him in a costume drama. Iām enjoying the others as well, including Wu Xuanyi, Lin Borui, Ding Yuxi, and Meng Ziyi. Peng Xiaoran as well! Iām into the plot as well. Liu Shishiās acting is just a bit underwhelming for me.
Her apathetic face is messing with my immersion, and the way she keeps throwing her chest forward and shoulders…
I get that Dongfang Huaizhu is meant to be mature and levelheaded, but I just wish sheād show more emotion. Iām watching If I Can Love You So now, and Iām enjoying Liu Shishiās acting so much more in that. Her character is more obnoxious and reckless than I usually go for, but itās honestly so refreshing to see her actually express feelings xD
I don't mind the cast or acting but I couldn't get into the story š
I like the premise because it feels different from the ātypicalā xianxia but has more fantastical elements, for lack of a better term, than wuxia xD Is this xuanhuan I wonder
I hate that I already know where this is going, but Iām going to try to stick with itā for Zhang Yun Long and the side characters at least. Kinda bummed that Liu Shi Shiās acting is putting me off. Itās likely because Iām also watching A Journey to Love, but she just feels really similar in both roles. Iām thinking of checking out If I Can Love You So next to see her in something more āanimated.ā
Jiang Zhan is becoming quite the frustrating character to watch. If he dies (I know the synopsis says otherwise), I'm not going to be surprised. However, I do wish Jiang Si had explained the rationale behind her seemingly paranoid actions. I hope they all learn lessons from the ordeal if he survives.
My heart truly goes out to her. It was incredibly brave of her to speak out and be so open about everything sheās been going through. I hope she takes all the time she needs and wants to heal, recover, and prioritize HERSELF. Wishing her nothing but the best in life š
