Thank you for your response! I may do just that. I'm currently watching Stand by Me, but I'm really struggling to continue it. I love the ML and 2FL and the other supporting characters. But I'm having a hard time connecting with the FL. I hope she becomes more mature and intelligent soon because right now she's a bit too naive and clueless imo.

Currently on episode 4, may someone tell me when the FL becomes more mature and intelligent? Right now, she comes off as naive and clueless. I don't know how she's been able to survive thus far. I really like the premise of the story, a figurehead emperor against the powerful eunuch. Cheng Yi always plays such complex characters! I love the 2FL's character, and I wish she were the FL instead. I would also prefer if there were no romance at all.

I saw a review that convinced me that I wouldn't find the series enjoyable if I continued it. I dislike constant misunderstandings and miscommunication that cause, imo, unnecessary angst. And this is a reason why I decided to drop it. I may pick it up in the future though.
