Lmao! I dropped The Starry love. I don’t get why people love it so much. LBFAD is one of my favorite ❤️
I agree with this response: My personal considerations have nothing to do with the fact that it was and will be enjoyed. I'm not going to question why people like it just because it didn't appeal to me. We all have different personal preferences. It's therefore understandable and not surprising that not everyone enjoyed LFBAD. Not everyone enjoyed TSL.

Ooo without giving spoilers, is the FL in Starry Love more of a self-aware, strong, independent, mature character??…
I just finished it! It's become one of my favorite dramas!! I love both sisters, and I enjoyed their respective character development! I'm hoping for more of these types of characters in xianxia!

Is this drama worth getting past the baby voice used for the FL? Listening to a child's voice talk to a man's…
Like most xianxia, Xiao Lan Hua does mature in her conduct and voice, I personally continued watching for the supporting characters and side storylines. I found them more interesting than the lead characters and main story. LFBAD is not a bad drama per se, but it's not spectacular or "unique" imo.

Title Who Rules the World Spoiler
So ur telling me he will die after 10 yrs, i- 🥲
It's pretty different, but in the novel, they're able to find a cure for him! And so, in my head canon, he is cured, and live happily for a long time 😆

People are saying that it's a great drama but IDK seeing the female lead just turned me off. IDK if its her character…
I continued for the supporting characters. I also prefer strong, intelligent, self-aware characters. I found Unchained Love and Who Rules the World much more enjoyable. I've also heard that Starry Love features a strong FL!

Is this drama worth watching? I’m the type of person who can not stan evil second leads or love triangles, and…
Haven't finished The Starry Love (planning on watching it after exams!), but, imo, Xiao Lan Hua (FL in LFBAD) is not badass and is the typical pure, innocent, naive xianxia female lead character. I personally did not find her character growth/development very significant. There is a love triangle, but it's not too irritating.

ETA I just finished TSL, and I much prefer it to LFBAD. Both sisters are independent, intelligent, and self-aware. I enjoyed their character development, especially Li Guang Ye Tan's (FL).

Its been on netflix and I dropped this coz I don’t like it. The Starry Love is 20 times better and appealing.

I wasn't too fond of her character either. Imo, it's unfortunate that xianxia dramas frequently pair childish…
1. "I'm not immature and I just want to protect her and you don't really understand my side!..I just want to people to stop telling about her baby voice is annoying!"

I didn't say you were immature; I said that your responses come off as immature and unnecessarily antagonistic. The other commenter (@Sokha Sen) didn't said that Yu Shu Xin's voice was "annoying." She said that she couldn't handle her voice because it was child-like. You yourself acknowledge that she has a "baby voice." You read too much into her comment. Everyone has different preferences, and that is okay.

2. "I just want to people to stop telling about her baby voice is annoying!"

That's fine. It's possible to express disagreement and defend your position without attacking and making groundless assumptions about the person you disagree with. Here are some examples from your responses: You all just thinking about yourself and doesn't care about what would she feel! Do you really think all of you are perfect?!..you easily judge her without knowing anything about her. you easily judge her talent.

3. "And what wrong about the childish FL being paired with a Strong ML"

Point to me where I said that there is "something wrong" with pairing a childish FL with a strong ML. I didn't say that. Again, you're reading too much into the comments.

4. "and to tell you honesty I'm not that kind of person who stay quite while reading some comments like that about her and I don't care if this is a
forum!"

That's fine. Like I said before, I don't mind differing opinions. But learning to express disagreement in a respectful and civil manner is important. You should care that is a forum, filled with diverse perspectives-- not everyone is going to think the way you do. Not everyone is going to like the same things you like.

5. "you all just do want you want and doesn't care about other feeling."

Another example of a personal attack. Once again, you can disagree and criticize even without attacking the person you disagree with.

6. "what if someone tell you how bad is your voice and how annoying it is?..do you know hurtful it is!..maybe it's not big deal for you!..but for others it is and you don't what it feel like."

Refer to responses 1 and 2.

7. "Did I personal attack them?I just defending her...I don't think you understand what is my point here."

You did. You also made groundless assumptions. (copied word for word) "you easily judge her talent" "You all just thinking about yourself and doesn't care about what would she feel!" "you all just do want you want and doesn't care about other feeling" "Do you really think all of you are perfect?!..you easily judge her without knowing anything about her"--> this last comment is ironic because you're doing the same thing-- judging strangers without knowing anything about them.

8. "I don't care about what you all think of me..I just want to protect as much as I can and if you think I'm immature then I don't care!..you call anything you want but not about her!"

Once again, I didn't say you were immature; I said your responses come off as immature because you seem to be unable to express disagreement in a respectful and civil manner. That's great that you want to protect/defend her. but do so without attacking others.

9. "I'm sorry if you think I'm immature and doesn't have a respect to anyone but I do have a respect and I just want to protect her

You seem to not have much respect or understanding for those who disagree with you and those who are not fond of Yu Shu Xin's voice. Protect her without resorting to personal attacks.

10. "and as a fan...it hurts when someone tell you that your idol doesn't deserve her role...I'm just sick of people bashing her and keep on attacking her...my point her is about her feelings."

Once again, if you're sick of people bashing her and attacking her, don't turn around and do the same thing. Don't stoop to their level.

I won't be engaging in any further convos (because it wouldn't be productive) if personal attacks are used again. -edited- I never understand why people block after responding

Did I claim that anyone was forcing me to like her character? You made that assumption yourself. I am aware of her character progression in the novel. My point still stands: xianxia stories frequently feature childish FLs and pair them with darker MLs. Additionally, I explicitly stated that I finished the drama in spite of XLH because of the supporting characters and side stories-- you seem to have disregarded that in your response. Your last response is in Tagalog, I presume. I cannot comprehend it, and the translation tool is not accurate. Lastly, I don't mind that you disagree with me (this is a discussion forum, and I appreciate the diversity of perspectives); however, there is a way to express this feeling respectfully and civilly. Your responses to me (and especially to the other commenter on this thread) come across as immature and unnecessarily antagonistic. There is a way to disagree with someone without resorting to personal attacks, which unfortunately is what you did here.

bittersweet ending. After much hardships and tragedy, they are together at the end.
I would say he's pretty strong and fit. Not supernaturally strong of course since this is not xianxia. But he definitely possesses physical stamina and endurance. Liang Yi (ML) is the chief inspector and often needs to get his hands dirty to accomplish his goals of protecting the nation. He's competent in defending himself.

Tried very hard to proceed with this drama hoping it'll get better but just couldn't endure FL's pathetic, child…
I wasn't too fond of her character either. Imo, it's unfortunate that xianxia dramas frequently pair childish FLs with dark, brooding, troubled MLs. I wanted to see DFCQ paired up with someone who was equally cunning, shrewd, and self-aware. So, I finished the drama for the supporting characters and side stories because I found them more intriguing. I also would love to see Zhao Lu Si paired up with Wang He Di! Hoping to see that in the near future !

It will always depend on what you want to watch. Cdrama has a lot to offer, tho this is one of the best xianxias…
Agree completely. I like FLs who have self-agency and aren't damsels in distress. Who Rules the World and The Autumn Ballad also feature strong, self-aware, intelligent FLs, imo. If you like modern dramas, Sunshine of my Life features a FL who doesn't give up her career/passions for the ML. Anyways, let me know what you think of Unchained Love!

Check out Unchained Love! Wang He Di (actor who plays DFQC) is the ML. It's historical not xianxia (fantasy), but the FL is not naive or ignorant. Both the ML and the FL are intelligent, mature and self-aware individuals. Xianxia, unfortunately, seems to frequently feature childish, "pure," immature FLs.
