Im rewatching atm, but maybe will check Lost you forever, or previous Cheng Yiβs drama
I'm also thinking of rewatching Cheng Yi's previous drama, perhaps Immortal Samsara! I was watching Lost You Forever simultaneously with MLC, but I've kind of lost interest in it. But it is a compelling story! And Yang Zi is amazing as always imo.
At first i plan to watch LY7T since i am a novel fans.. but they change the story so much, so i drop it for now..…
That's unfortunate π’ I'm sorry, that must be so disappointing for a novel fan. Is it possible to explain the differences without spoiling the story? I just started it, and so far, it looks interesting.
This is one of my top dramas for this year and of all time! I still really wish there were a season 2! I want to see more of their adventures together!!
What are you guys watching next? I'm debating whether to rewatch MLC or watch a different series or do both XD
I think I would be more okay with the ending if the flowers weren't given to the emperor. Once Li Lian Hua and…
π I'm laughing because it's so true. But I do think that this time, the ML wasn't just doing it for the greater good. Throughout the series, Li Lian Hua repeatedly said that he no longer cared about being Li Xiang Yi. He wants to live a peaceful, meaningful life (according to his master's wishes). I think he's tired and just wants to live the rest of his life in peace and without too much "drama" π
I like the OE, but I don't like the events that led up to it. I feel like they were baiting us with the flowers π₯² I would rather Di Fei Sheng never found the flowers. But you could always stop watching after episode 39; the main conflict ends there.
I think I would be more okay with the ending if the flowers weren't given to the emperor. Once Li Lian Hua and Fang Duo Bing knew that the emperor was poisoned, I suspected that Li Lian Hua would give them away to him. I guess I'm irrationally angry at the emperor for falling for Shan Gu Dao's scheme π¬ I get that his wellbeing is directly connected to the stability of the kingdom and that there would be greater consequences if he died (as opposed to Li Lian Hua dying). I also understand that Li Lian Hua was able to use this to clear Fang Duo Bing's family and reassure the emperor that he has no desire for the throne. And I do like how all three are reunited, and I'm going to interpret it as them setting off on another adventure together to find the cure. But I still have mixed feelings because of how the whole thing played out, especially since Di Fei Sheng went through so much to obtain the cure. Yeah, I'm still not satisfied because of the emperor ππ
For those who've read the novel, was the the emperor a competent ruler? Did he also get poisoned? And was he also able to get the cure from Li Lian Hua?
I hope this isn't true but if so, I'm super disappointed that season 2 has been reduced from 35 episodes to 21 π I love the current pacing of the story, and, imo, there's already little to no fillers in season 1. I'm trying to remain optimistic, but I don't see how this will benefit the series. Does anyone know why the sudden change?
Favorite character amongst the MLs so far is Cang Xuan. Favorite love interest so far for Xiao Yao is Tushan Jing. I'm excited to get to know Chishui Feng Long!
I read the manhua a couple of years ago and watched the donghua about a week ago. I found out that there was a drama adaptation today! I know this will become one of my comfort dramas!
In the novel, Xiao Yao says to Cang Xuan: "I just can't trust that a person who is cruel to everyone else can…
This is such a good quote! Her reasoning is exactly why I don't like MLs who are only gentle and kind to the FL and cold, ruthless to everyone else. Their characters are not "consistent" imo. I agree with you that I also can't see TSJ intentionally hurting her. Thank you for sharing this quote!
Yang Zi is slaying this role! Iβm so glad that she was casted as Xiao Yao! She deserves it!! I think Iβm going to rewatch parts of Immortal Samsara as I wait for more episodes to be released.
