Where can I watch this series with English subtitles? On another note: I am surprised by the lack of attention…
Same. I worked in a couple of startups and some scenes in this hit home hard, it wasn't in South Korea and I still can't explain how it's so similar to where I worked. The developers, the HR, everything is so on point and ridiculously funny.
This might sound like I'm venting, but hear me out: (also does not contain any spoilers)Nearly a day has passed…
Thank you very much for putting into words the feeling of disappointment I keep having about this drama. As a thriller, it's not a bad drama at all. In fact I am enjoying the thriller aspect of it. But knowing that this is a real event, and that they are somehow painting the victims of this as psychopaths that are bad because they are trying to get revenge, when the actual victims of this just want justice, I don't know, it makes me really uncomfortable. I still hope in the last two episodes this will get a different focus. Like you all said, if this wasn't based into such a horrifying real life event I wouldn't mind this much, but it leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.
I am pretty much seeing Jae Kyung and Jung relationship will evolve into some sort of father-son figure they are both missing and that the same person was responsible for both of their losses. And they will break our hearts at the end with Jung losing Jae Kyung too. And I hope this is the route they take. It's probably only me but when both Kyungsoo and Kim Sangho act together the drama upgrades itself. Also congrats on Sehee and Kyungsoo for being one of those partnerships that works on the screen, I don't know if it is because they are not forcing a romance out of nowhere, because Ara is a really good written character or what, but it works. It won't be enough time to develop the other characters more, I feel, but I am liking 12 episode dramas way more than the 16 ones, I feel they drag the plot way less and they have less chances of ruining the story.
I hope they don't show any romance between jung and ah Rae. I like the platonic relation they share.
I hope they keep it as it is now, as a possible option for both of them in a distant future. No need to shove in romance in a mostly humorous-action drama. And I have to say the way they relationship is evolving is really refreshing, the chemistry is there, and I am glad they are not trying to force it.
Not totally terrible or bad at all. Watch this lightly and I think it's more enjoyable. Yeah the plot didn't need to last that long, and at some point they even lose the main plot (they solved it too quickly imo), but it has some delightful episodes, specially during the middle part. And the chemistry of the main couple is good, and we didn't have to suffer any awful secondary couples, so it's a win.
I know it's a rom-com, like I know it, but right now it's going nowhere. I feel they have like 20 minutes of plot left, and that's about it. I agree the 16 episode format killed this, it would have been better with a shorter format, and probably shorter episodes... The kidnapping the mom, to holding his nephew hostage is so dramatic for no reason... But they definetely have chemistry and they are acting pretty well. Like it's not on the character, I guess the plot wasn't that interesting.
Enjoyed it. I guess this came when the Heist movies were still a thing with the Jazz Up beat music when they pull the heist. acting is on point and the plot it's pretty solid. nothing super spectacular but nothing really bad. they know xiumin is adorable and they explored to the max and then let us crying
thank god i watched this drama before i got into exo... else i would have cried two times more than i already…
LOL I watched this yesterday and was about to add the same comment although a year later the exos are surviving their acting projects, the balance is still on the "all die" side.
i'm still curious what the headache flashback things were that were bothering sung joon.. it definitely threw…
Same, either they solve this, or they will just forget about it and used it as a gimmick to confuse the viewer. Because I thought it was clear that SungJoon had been in the Hope Center.
And we reach the middle point. I am kind of hoping they keep it more action-wise than trying to do big twists, because that's when dramas start falling apart. In fact Jin Jung's fight against Tae Ho and ultimately against Hyun Kyu sounds interesting enough. I wonder if we will discover along the way if something more happened to his dad. And of course, what happened to Jae Kyung.
I am crossing fingers the drama keeps up the pace and doesn't fall apart towards the end because so far I am enjoying it, the action scenes in episode 5 were amazing.
am i the only one who thinks it started good but now it has lost it's charm? means i feel boring somehow watching…
it never really took off for me, I like seunggi's acting and some parts here and there but it's been quite a miss. I'll finish it because we are so close to the end. But 16 episodes were too much for this plot.
In my opinion it's irregular pace it's the cause I can't put this drama higher in my list. Like the relationships is nice, the whole talk about consent feels very nice too, the chemistry works, but for some reason the drama itself is not working. Idk if it's the main storyline not being strong enough or what. But since we are so close to the end, I think it'll be easy to watch it until the end than to drop it.
The build-up was incredible, and it often happens with thrillers the ending did not deliver as much, but that's OK, I mean I prepared myself knowingly it wouldn't be able to tie everything up. But I believe the major plot points were covered. While I don't like the fact that Hwa Young was alive, to me that was the biggest :/ point, and some parts were poorly developed, in the end I feel satisfied enough. This drama main forces were Go Eun and Ji Won characters, and they constant pull was probably what I enjoyed the most. I think up to the Singapore episode it was a clear 10, that confrontation between both characters and the BEAUTIFUL "I just love the face you have right now, like you have been robbed of your toy" was one of my favourite moments altogether. From then on the plot kind of went downwards, but watched it at least for the sake of the characters. If Go Eun doesn't win all the awards for this then I don't know who will. One of my most enjoyed dramas this season.

but as any thriller it does sacrifice a bit of realism for the sake of the plot twist moment
That was the best twist.
I am kind of hoping they keep it more action-wise than trying to do big twists, because that's when dramas start falling apart.

La serie en si no me convence tampoco. Pero la verdad es que los personajes, al menos el de Kyungsoo y el de Lee Sehee están bastante bien construidos y actuados.
También le echo la culpa a que últimamente 3 de cada 4 kdramas son legales.
I'll finish it because we are so close to the end.
