7.8? This drama deserves more than that. I started watching few hours ago and I'm already on episode 3. Loving…
I feel MDL majority of viewers have a type of kdrama they adore, and whatever is not that type of kdrama, just gets mid 7's. While this might not be the best kdrama or the best historical one, it's not as bad as the comments give out to be.
I feel we should take out the comedy tag on this. It's not a comedy but a historical drama with all the usual plot points.
There are parts of this drama that are well written and I enjoy. The characters are not one-dimensional villains and we can all just get their motivations. But at the same time...there are times when the plot doesn't work.
While I feel some characters are getting enough development, others like our main character are getting too little to like him.
I am not one to care about romances, specially if I do sense they are going to get horrible writen, but damn drama, give me something, I am more involved in our supposedly villains love story, our queen and king relationship, and even the two brothers one, than the relationship between main characters.
Kudos to Suho for the beautiful OST at the end of this episode.
So far I am really enjoying both love stories, one it's a tragic love story between the Queen Dowager and the physician, and that scene they shared had me living, it was so intense and well acted. The other is a young love between the prince and Myung Yoon, and they have very beliable chemistry. Mention apart the great OST moment during the funeral scene.
MNET was on a budget they cut down the usual drama, the 200 hours episode. All in all a show that it's watchable, that doesn't have the amount of drama any MNET reality does. My brain still hurts with how the final groups were made. Also great job Jay, I am so glad you finally got this
Watched it in a month and a half with breaks and it still worked to me. It's crazy, it's insane, like a soap opera (thank you grandma for preparing me for this) Every actor is doing their uttermost but kudos to Kim Soyeon and Uhm Kijoon, those two were acting their asses of. Lee Jiah you will always be beautiful.
Rachel sent Arin home alone (the airline's unaccompanied minor service) and then posted the details including…
Agreed to all the points above. It's just lazy writing at this point to have the classical thriller twist at the last episode. I am surprised, even if Jaejoon wants to give her friend a chance, like ... can you really forgive someone that orchestrated the death of your husband? Was ready to put your father in jail?!
I believe the Happy Ending will be something like learning to live with oneself despite how many bad things have happened.
Young children can, and do, travel alone. They are always accompanied by a flight assistant, completely accompanied, and delivered safely to the registered guardians. BUT so much dumb stuff in this episode could have been avoided by clever writing - Like post a picture of Arin with her ticket and not realizing the Airplane number is on the picture. - Having the US family acompany Arin but she ends up getting lost when arriving or becoming distracted
Judging from these comments, I must be one of the only people still enjoying this series. Yun Jin is doing a great…
Not at all. I am enjoying it too and I also don't think it's perfect or a great drama. Jang Nara is acting her ass off and so is So YiHyun.
There are some ideas in this dramas that I would love to see implemented better in other dramas, and as you said my favourite was Jae Won being an unreliable narrator.
Kinda weird seeing people side with a cheater and blame FL for being raped. I hope eventually they just divorce…
Same. I am surprised by the reactions too, but this drama is strangely not making Soonyoung look like the asshole he is. This drama also makes Jaewon be apologetic about being raped?!
My hopes are low but I hope they end up changing the strange tone episode 6 had.
Everybody is trash in this apart from Jaewon who is just a victim. She's had a really shitty life, and I do hope she finds happiness at the end.
When he sees how Hyunkyu kills Jaekyung you can see he is visible shaken. Also he despised Jihan but probably…
I can see how it can not be a strong enough reason.
To me what works is that he might be OK with corruption, but when he sees a real murder being taken place in front of his eyes it shakes him. Or maybe he decided he really doesn't want to go down that psychopathic path. A change of mind it's something I can see happening.
I also think he was more aware of Jin's plan than most of the others. He knows from the moment he decides to help Jin that Park is alive, and that if they can make him testify in court they would win the case, and he will go down with the rest of the law firm.
And at the end of the day I am believing that the writer just wanted to create a moment of enemies working together against a common enemy. Nothing of what happened in court is very believable, but I don't think this drama's goal was to present a realistic legal drama.
just wondering, why Oh Do Hwan turned his back on Seo Hyun Kyuwhat's his motive?
When he sees how Hyunkyu kills Jaekyung you can see he is visible shaken. Also he despised Jihan but probably realized he will always be under him and his father. I think both things slowly pile on him until he realises that maybe his ambition does not justify becoming a murderer or a murderer accomplice. I also think, if you want to be more ironic, he realised the Seo's were not going to win, and he just changed to a better side as it's on character with him. Or maybe it's a combination of both.
While the plot twist was kind of stupid, again?! another dead person not being dead?!, GASP, the actors in this worked their asses off to make this enjoyable, and overcomed really lazy writing. Their chemistry worked, and the story didn't drag too much, but it also didn't become way better. If by anything a bit disappointed because the acting had so much potential, and the director did have some great ideas, specially for action scenes, the camera work was amazing. But the writing was not great.
Glad they let the ending ambiguous, I can't see a second season, and I am thinking Kyungsoo won't get into any acting project anytime soon. (Like just this drama it feels like he has been recording for almost 7 or 8 months)
Ah this drama is fun. I was worried they were going to try to add some crazy plot twist but so far is just a nice detective story that's more focused on good guys Vs bad guys than making us all go OOOOh every week.I like that. plenty of dramas have been ruined by the need to keep the audience guessing.script is good and even if it's not a character drama, I kind of love the team.we are getting close to the end and I hope it ends as nicely as it's going.
I personally think this drama is at fault of not being for everybody, it seems more like an ironic and funny take of a very specific world, the start-up world. Most of the jokes are directed to people who works, or has worked there. Like the "let's do standing meetings because it's faster" and it ends up being 3 hours longer. The HR coming up with stupid english terms to describe nothing. It all hits home if you worked in a similar company. I am enjoying this a lot.

Not groundbreaking but not bad per se.
I really love Suho's and Yeji's characters. I feel they are both also acting their best and I cannot see Yeji as a terrible actress either.
sometimes I feel they edited out scenes that were important to follow the plot so at times I was a bit confused too.
It's just lazy writing at this point to have the classical thriller twist at the last episode.
