i actually had this issue in the earlier episodes too LOL but what helped me later is paying attention to whose face is shown right before or after game characters are shown bc that's usually who it is

usually it'll say on baidu who the voice actors are but that info hasn't been filled in yet. i agree with you tho, xu kai's dubbing kinda sounds like his voice but also kinda doesn't... it's weird.
i can't help but miss the old seasons' setups. i miss seeing the interactions between the chefs and hosts, and the competitions between the 2 chosen chefs. it was so great to see huang laoshi and an laoshi compete, lele and luola etc all together like a family.
also i feel like in the prior seasons whenever the hosts went thru the guests' fridges, they would uncover a lot of funny personal stories and the audience could learn more about them through an unconventional way. it seems like this season is trying to create like a variety game show type of feel which idk if i like... there's less focus on the guests and barely any focus on cooking anymore either. i think it stems from them adding many more permanent members. maybe it's just bc it's the first ep and everything is new. it's not bad, like it was enjoyable to watch but i'm just a bit disappointed because i came in expecting it to be as good as the prior seasons.
