Jdrama will always be the better choice for me. Okay, while kdrama get me to cry like a baby in every singel drama…
Hmm, I kind of understand you and apologize for unintentionally insulting you. Sorry, I'm not going to force my opinion on you, not that I changed my thoughts about Kdrama and jdrama.
Take care, friend!
How about a BIG reason - a REAL reason? Japan, just like America & a lot of European & British shows, can't pass…
Teleri, watched I think 2 jdrama and on of them is Bitter Blood.
'Harem'( one girl surrounded by a lot of men) is just one niche of jdrama world. Fact is that Japan had always a men dominating culture, so does that make jdrama automatically bad?!
Jdrama will always be the better choice for me. Okay, while kdrama get me to cry like a baby in every singel drama…
You really think, that the emotions in Kdrama are realistic?
As for me I think, that the situations that are created to show some super emotional scene are not that realistic. Yes, I watched some of the best kdramas out there and cried buckets of tears, but I was always aware of the fact that it is a drama.
You see even, those classics like Coffee Prince and so on are just fairy tales. Do you really think, that forcing your love on some poor girl and that mostly in public is real? Sorry, but somehow no matter how much a real life girl falls in love, as long as she has it all together, she won't want to be together with a jerk who humiliated her in public.
Not every love can be fulfilled irl. In Kdrama that is just for the second leads. Kdrama is so unrealistic that every love story has a happy end, unless one of the main leads dies.
Jdrama doesn't force feelings on you( this is what I call drama queen attitude). You see ppl fall in love naturally and even if they don't end up together you can just be satisfied with it, because that is life.
P.S. Teleri @ after looking at your list I noticed, that I'm writing in vain. I respect you and your opinion, but please give jdrama a chance and watch some real drama( not comedies, but slice of life and so.)
Before we say sth is bad, we should give it a real chance and after that we can say: It is bad!
I would never say TWdrama or Chinese drama are bad or not realistic or sth like that, because I haven't really watched them.
Jdrama will always be the better choice for me.
Okay, while kdrama get me to cry like a baby in every singel drama thanks to their drama queen attitute, Jdrama shake my soul with their intense and real scenes.
JDrama is the best!
Thanks for the article, you are right in every aspect!
Oh God, I remember how happy my friend and I were after finding a way to get all those ( 6-8-12) parts downloaded without any extra program. Oh man, the video quality was often crappy, but with my netbook I didn't even notice it....
Our love for drama brought a lot of hardship with it. In our country dailymotion, YouTube and many other streaming sites were banned for years. Mysoyu and dramacrazy were a safe heaven for us.
Your article brought me back in time. Thank you!
Now this is it! This stalker's guide made me really happy. After reading all the guide about semi-idol-actors I'm really happy to read about a true actor. I watched a few drama with Yamada and his acting is really good, as you wrote he can act anything.
Thank you very much for this nice stalker's guide.
I like this article and I really like the examples( mostly watched) you gave. So I mostly watch J and Kdrama.…
Nah, it is okay. True, some kdrama are really mind blowing, but I noticed that I remember jdramas later on more tham kdramas.
I know about Johnny's, I should have mentioned that I'm interested in japanese culture for nearly all of my life and I know for example Smap since 2001.
Ikuta Toma is an awesome actor, not just an idol.
I like this article and I really like the examples( mostly watched) you gave.
So I mostly watch J and Kdrama. Kdrama I mostly watch while airing( due to immediate subs) and Jdramas later( rarely while airing due to really late subs).
Because of that watching habit I noticed that my dropped or on-hold drama are mostly jdrama.
But even though I easyly drop jdrama I like them more than Kdrama. Just as you wrote in your article jdrama are just soooo diverse. The variety is just so wide even if you drop one you find 5 others you like.
One more thing that I really like about jdrama: They are not really idol-driven!!!!
Kdrama tend to depend on the popularity of some idol/star, if you like me can't stand some actors you will never be able to watch or finish that drama.
In jdrama the whole thing is a colaboration of all actors, settings, OST and so on, even if you don't like one actor, that is okay because sth else will catch your eye.
Take care, friend!

Apart from a few young actors and actresses I know, all I really appreciate are older.
Please, someone make one with Oguri, Kaneshiro, Hyun Bin and co.
Thank you for the article.
And the answer is, who else but the awesome DragonAlien( can I call you Ana?)!!!!
