Still dont get the obsession with pseudo incest shit thats happening WAY TOO OFTEN nowadays, but finally finished it...
Final thought.. a solid 6 from me. Never been a fan of mildly predatory piece of fiction with ML 10 years older than the FL, They have been living under the same roof since the girl was 12 and he's 22, however the romance only started the year she turned twenty but it doesnt change the fact that HES ALREADY LIKED HER WAY BEFORE ?!?? ( though he did have a gf then, the timeline are a bit of a blur cmiiw).
IF the adaptation teams took similiar approach to how "Dazzling" was turned into a drama, like turning the drama into a more coming of age, slice of life, healing drama it might save the story ( lets not talk about the horror and dissapointment I felt reading dazzling for the first time😀expecting a cute story like the drama, but met with whatever that novel was )
Love moon was in a way more mature compared to dazzling, the leads being older aside I think the problem and conflict tackled are quite similiar. Elderly parents, problematic family from FL side, and extremely capable Male Lead, and all that stuffs.
But reading the novel genuinely gave me the chills, some part was devastatingly EMBARASSING🥲🧍♂️ Most of the time it came from the ML, DUDE YOURE 30 GET A GRIP ?!? WTH😭💀 The thing he does to a kid 10 years younger than him are INSANE🥀😬.
I like SQ but honestly this is a bit too much for me💔
Im a hater for pseudo incestuos relationship BUT I finished it, and I can assure you that the end is a very cute happy ending with them having a daughter taking both of the ML and FL name "Fang Zhou". Still a hater but icl thats just too cute😭

He is the adopted son of MC's maternal aunt, not related yes I know what youre thinking. But their interactions are totally sibling coded ( if you dont count the ML not so pure thought about his sister after looking at her washed undies😀 )

ML as stated by the description are a bussiness owner who is a heavy smoker his voice is harsh, rough and has a throat problem like a smoker, he smokes two cigs every hour, his clothes stink of tobacco, and a real quiet guy unless he's pissed then he starts throwing his fist 😀deadass thats how the novel describe him.
MC, is a very feisty hot tempered girl who "cant take care of herself and act like a damsel in distress in need of ML most of the time" (Mind you she actually can take care of herself, its the narrative making her this way). Just Imagine Qing Ye from Dazzling, but make her family trauma tenfold. The girl went through BAD things in her past and now living with ML family, but she is actually not that bad its just the age gap thats kinda throwing me off.
Just saying this cuz all the other villains doesnt carry as much as evil aura as him, Wei changyan came close…
But I dont consider him a villain? sure, I do agree though he is great I was just comparing the "villains" . And if youre talking about versatile actors very few of the supporting cast can be considered that, like 1st Madam Hu and The Marquis is amazing, the other like the Emperor, Hu Xing, Lady Pei, even Shen Che just is not as great

Isnt this a common happening with most "revenge" dramas though, The lack of skinships and intimacy after the leads got together just get watered down compared to pre marriage. Most of these kind of drama that I watched always do that for some reason😭🤦
No matter how much we all hates Xie Shu the actor playing him did such an excellent job🔥👏 kudos to him
