i believe that bc it differs in pacing in comparison to other revenge/political plot dramas, it may feel hard to adjust or even like the show. many had high anticipation like you bc of cast and plot but it’s a trend that the most unappealing factor is the pacing. i still feel anticipation for each episode but it’s understandable that many consider it slow

does that mean the episode guide is wrong bc it says two episodes per day starting after ep15?

since the drama is 39 eps the rising action will not immediately take place, this may feel weird for people used to fast paced dramas and its understandable. he will get more screen time with FL only after the identity is revealed, and the ep17 trailer revealed that he is growing suspicious.

as much as i also dislike her, it wouldnt be a 30+ episode costume drama without an intervening romantic third party lol. i think the whole "suffering 10 years" comes from her own ignorance of the situation. she was taken as a beggar so she probably never received proper education besides learning to mimic dzy hobbies and talents. she's unlikeable bc she could ruin the whole revenge plot, but her mentality stems from lack of social interaction. being sheltered has only corrupted her. im only speculating bc i havent read the novel but i dont think she'll be a major character to the end. theres the subplot of the northern qin princess and her brother and also the main revenge plot.

the plot does pick up imo, a revenge plot that takes 39 episodes will evidently be more slow paced but there is definitely action coming soon after ep7. i just finished ep15 and i think the plot is moving steadily

my original gave comments from other shows as examples and i never showed true proof of the same thing happening for 安乐传 and only said might. i understand that in this comment chain i didnt mention the same possibilities of low ratings as i did with other replies, ill just rephrase : "high anticipation, frustration with pacing, expecting an immediate revenge plot" etc. after watching episodes i just randomly look through comments to share my opinions or like those i agree with, and i have responded to several about low ratings and listing possible factors. if i show no picture proof, it means i dont intend my word to be heeded like law. in the future i can ensure to always type without missing the word "possible" unless i have proof. one mishap can spread misinformation if the word "might" is overlooked?

short answer is that toxicity is not limited to Weibo, it was just an example. it is unfathomable to sane people, but some people disregard viewership and go on crazy online protests. internet is diverse and my example does not need to apply to every drama, just a possibility since there’s no way of reading into who left the low ratings

if you frequent weibo youll find many toxic fans from each fandom. i dont mean to generalize all gong jun fans, i only mentioned that it was a possibility of the low ratings since it has been like this for many dramas. fans from different platforms act differently.
