Yep The potential it had... They could have used all the symbolisms they put (for nothing??) and wrapped this drama decently, but instead we got this mess.

Yeah, and I'm (and I'm sure a lot of other people too are) pretty sad nobody knows about HJP and his childhood, I think that if somebody other than grandma knew about it, we as viewers would have felt less frustrated and more liberated, because it just feels like he's being underappreciated and misunderstood by every other character on the show while we viewers know so much about him.

I don't think you got my point. You're talking about their internal qualities and NDS's inner struggles and I didn't talk about them. I was talking about their exprience in life, what did they accomplish when they were kids that is considered "phenomenal", and compared the reaction of other charactrers to said experiences, very impressed in nds's case, and the lack of the reactions since nobody got to know about hjp's story even by hearsay (and even when nds is presented with the occasion to ask hjp the question "why did you feel jealous", or at least leave him explaining better by himself without actually asking anything (the answer would be that he was jealous that nds had parents while hjp is an orphan), instead nds cuts him off and says why he, nds, is jealous of HJP). [the things you said are true, but imho the writer didn't execute the whole thing well. But yeah that was not my focus]
Also as for HJP, I didn't talk about his wealth, han river apt, watch, car etc, and didn't consider them his "greatness", basically I very specifically talked about how he struggled to achieve everything he has.
+ after the time skip, NDS is not that different from HJP in terms of wealth.
