a great take on korean romcoms!
this was the first drama i’ve watched where the main couple isn’t corny or ignoring their problems in the name of love.
this was so lovely from start to finish! compelling characters and backstories that didn’t serve as a cathalyst for romance but as actual backtories that shaped the personality of our main characters. mature characters that changed throughout the story and took accountability and were sincere with each other.
there was growth! from everyone! it was so realistic and lovely to see.
what i did hate was [spoiler] moeums obsession with yeondu. THAT WAS WEIRD. not maternal or otherwise, just plain weird. it bordered towards grooming. she was weird for that, period. i could’ve done without her character or story. by the last three episodes i simply skipped her parts bc i couldn’t care less and i feel bad for danho bc he was a good character with a great story.
