A great pilot with a weird premise

My first impression of this series was the actor who plays Il Jo: Yoon Ji Sung. He was part of one of my favorite bands, Wanna One, and I knew I was interested in acting, but I never, EVER, imagined I'd be in a BL, much less one like this. When I started watching it, I tried reading a bit of the manhwa first, and I think the lack of information in the series that exists or is given in the manhwa is what makes many people misunderstand the fact that they're cousins, for example. When they're cousins by marriage, they're not biological cousins. Besides, technically, your in-laws, if you're never in contact with them, aren't technically your family. So I think that part could be misinterpreted and could also scare off some viewers.Il Jo is weak; he has a tragic, sad past. He's emotionally dependent on the idea of happiness that a love or family he never had could have given him, and everything falls apart when his father dies, and he goes to see him at the wake. His brother, I suppose, upset by their father's death, sees his half-brother at the funeral and beats him up, abuses him. Jeonghan arrives and sees Il Jo vulnerable, thinking how pathetic he is, but being fragile himself, he falls into empathy and feels bad for Il Jo and how dependent he is.Although Jeonghan is portrayed as the more dominant or less helpless one, he too falls for Il Jo: they both cling to each other. Jeonghan is alone; he doesn't seem to have anyone in his life. He works and has colleagues, and apparently a friend, but he doesn't have a partner. He's usually alone and is cold and distant. Il Jo is also alone; he has no family and is desperate for love and companionship. The moment he finds someone else, he falls in love because when someone is in an emotional situation, they become attached to whoever gives them help, even though "help" is not the right word to use in this situation.THEY BOTH FALL IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER. That's why Jeonghan took him in, why Il Jo kisses him, why Jeonghan paid for his surgery, and why he lets him stay at his house. He says he doesn't want to feel guilty, but in reality, he wants companionship. They both want the same thing; they aren't so different. This episode was amazing; it was raw, crude, and passionate. It may not be the best, but it is a great pilot with a lot of potential. It also might not be a new concept or whatever, but it's important for Korean BL, for it to be more experimental and for it to be more newanced. Amazing work, amazing acting, great show, and one of the best Korean BLs out there, and I'll die on that hill.
