I really enjoyed this cute drama, but the part with Oh Soo Jin (a.k.a. the bitch) was boring and annoying - at least for me. I was watching and all the time thought: "Oh, just go to therapy already!"
This could be so great, but - gosh - from episode 2 on it is like a drama from around 2000 or something. Really, more on a kids/teenager-level. Too bad
PEOPLE STOP WHINING ABOUT THE OUTCOME! Rewatch the show and watch with an open mind, then you can see all the metaphorical and real clues the writers gave from the very beginning!!! I diid not care who DS ended up with, but PLEASE be reasonable and objective and stop complaining about this so wonderful drama just because it did not reach your vision of romantic wonderland... Gosh.
I can't believe Taek is the husband. I'm still in denial. lol I'm convinced that the writer changed it at the…
They did NOT change it in last minute. Rewatch it. There are clues for Taek - really HARD hints - all over the place since the earliest episodes. I did not care who became the husband in the end, but this denial about JH just drives me nuts. Did you not watch the show? It's Taek all over the place. Even this metaphor with the gloves! It is a metaphor for the love both guys give her. JH gave it to her earlier, but she chooses to put Taek's on. These are the kind of hints you have to look out for. And threre are many. Not to mention the beginning story when they were all just kids. It was her, who gave him a present, it was her who took him piggy-back. And so on and on and on.
I am rewatching this. And now it is so OBVIOUS that it was always meant to be Taek, not JH. Right now, I even feel stupid for thinking it could be JH for a while... The writers played this well.
Why is everyone so fixated on the husband? The husband search really was just another side story. The main story…
I mostly agree with you. But IMO it was NOT absolutely sure that JH&DS were the main pairing. I really think THIS is the sujective part that everyone is battling about. The writers did NOT promise solidly that its gonna be him. E.g. just by taking the pre-story when she as a little girl offers Taek a present and then is the one to carry him piggy-back - this alone, in any other drama, would be THE hint to show who is going to be ending up with her. (Saying all that, I never was attached to either JH or Taek, I was open for either outcome). IF you choose one guy, then of course, you would be disappointed, but the writers did a very good job in being ambiguous.. And its very realistic, too. Because JH did never take action, that is his outcome. That is how life goes - if you fail over and over to take opportunities, then you have to live with the outcome. Even me, I felt sorry for JH and wished for us being able to see more of the outcome of the guys and DS plus Taek, but come on, this was a great story about their social life.

So true. I, too, love a good romance in drama, but seriously - this was not the main focus here. Yeah, so the guy who ended up being No.2 came short in the last two episodes. But that's okay. It was about the whole "bee-hive" of their families.
On the other hand... Taek and DS are a good match. They are both practically mentally "disabled" - because she is so dumb and he is a genius. LOL. JH would be way too normal for her.
WARNING! THIS IS A MAJOR SPOILER FOR THE ***ENTIRE*** SERIES! IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND…
Well, since they introduced Boon Yi and Bang Ji, they have to change SOMETHNG about the story... I hope they don't kill them, too. Gosh, if this ends like a major melodrama I will be severely disappointed. Not another "Hong Gil Dong"-experience... But it IS exciting. Still... no matter what the historical Taejong did after he became king (and I know that he did good stuff for his people, too) - if he assassinates everyone around him, including family, just to get to the throne - that still lables him as "evil". Even for the times back then.
WARNING! THIS IS A MAJOR SPOILER FOR THE ***ENTIRE*** SERIES! IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW THE HISTORICAL BACKGROUND PLEASE DO NOT READ FURTHER!
You have been warned. Now leave. Seriously, about to drop the bomg. Go away. Ok, no? So: So, I just read that Lee Bang Won will become this brutal king Taejong, who kills Sambong and Peoun and some of his own brothers to become the king and to form a very strong monarchy, contrarily to Sambong's plans. Gosh. I so hate this. But looking back, his violent righteous character was already depicted when as a kid he even killed some men because he felt that this was justice... I wonder where this leaves Boon Yi, Myo Hyul and Bang Ji. I really have to rearrange my view on this drama now. The hero will become the villain. Duh. I hope he gets his ass kicked in SOME way at least, though
OH NO. I just read the historical background on this drama (since it depicts from real history) and so DO NOT LIKE the way this is heading.... No. No. No. No. T_T Since they usually stick more or less to historical facts in drama, I fear this cannot be avoided, though. Sigh. So disappointed and disheartened right now. Duh.

But he did not confess like on the second day, he already asked her out for lunch a bazillion times, helped her in many ways, took pictures etc. Come on, this is enough "pre-work" to make asking for dating reasonable.

But this is one of the problems - you alread know (or can guess) that the guy did sth "bad" or was supposed to do sth bad, but in the end he wasn't but maybe someone else or it was a misundestanding or whatever. I already expect that all to happen and in the end he will be the nice guy anyway. But yeah, this kind of slice-of-life doesn't seem to be my thing. It's actually the first drama I just cannot get into. Too bad.
I am trying really hard to like this... but I am just bored and annoyed to death. There is no plot for me - the "mystery" about the guy is so obvious. And the girl is just - naive and thick-headed to no end. She lets herself being pushed around by everyone. And "Why did sunbae ask me to date him?" - Seriously??! And then she runs off - because that's what she's been doing till now - evasion is her thing. I am jealous if you guys can enjoy this, but for me its hardcore-boring... Not gonna continue watching. Maybe when the last episodes airs, I will peak whether the girl actually developed some backbones. PS: The webtoon is too boring, too. Sigh.
Ok, watched the 2 episodes... and seriously - the girl is not really a good heroine. She is just ordinary, evasive,…
I hate posh-girls as heroines, but that's not the point. I don't care about her looks, but that her most outstanding character feature is being evasive, shy and - for me - boring. Waiting for something interesting about her.
