Is Nirvana in Fire 2 better than the first one? I've been trying to finish NiF for three years now. I can't seem…
NIF2 IS AMAZING. I love both 1 and 2 but personally, I really felt attached to the 2nd more. idk there's just something about the cast and their chemistry and their characters. ughh, the feels.
Love your review. I recommend adding NIF 2 to your watch list! It's a very strong drama of it's own. It's actually my favorite of the 2 but both are incredible works for different reasons.
Jun Ji Hyun, Han Ji Min, IU, Kim Namjoo. I've been on the fence about starting AYHT? because I love scifi and I find kdramas don't write scifi stories well enough (Circle was almost there but fell short in the latter half). After reading this I think I'll give this one a try. Thanks!
I see a lot of rave reviews about come&hug me but I really didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The lead characters aren't good in their roles they have inconsistent acting performances throughout the drama and the plot drags on forever over the same thing. Meteor Garden 2018 is actually quite fun IF you take it at face value of it just being there for some sweet innocent romance. It's one of the lighter and imo better adaptations as theres very little dramatics at play as it's more focused on the romance of the characters. Overall kdramas have given us some really iconic content but the past few years I think cdramas have really pushed the boundaries for dramas and delivered some epic stories and thoroughly entertaining series'.
After following the comments and reviews in here for some time, "best drama ever made", I was hyped to start to…
I thought the pacing was excellent, and the slow-ness of the drama was also a representation of the mundane and draggy life that the characters lead. The silence and "slow" parts speak volumes about the characters. Drinking is a huge part of their social culture and their drinking dialogue isn't pointless... this story won't lay out the pieces for you, you have to watch and understand for yourself what the significance of what you're watching REALLY means. Most kdramas will lay out exactly what part you should feel sad, happy, angry. This doesn't. For some people they won't understand it, and for some other people this drama hits them like a bulldozer in the feels because it's relatable to their real lives. For me, this drama really hit home.
I'm waiting for this series to finish airing before jumping in, but I have high hopes for this one. Hopefully the plot doesn't sizzle out by the end like a lot of historical cdramas have in the last year(cough Princess Agents, Tribes&Empires). TMOPB, NIF2, and Secret of The Three Kingdoms (so underrated) were really the only standout dramas coming from last year and this year so far. Flame's Daughter was a hard miss for me. Not gonna lie I'm finding this package deal with all the Yang Mi studio stars in the same dramas a little boring.
I went into this drama with zero expectations, didn't even read the synopsis, didn't know it was a taiwanese drama (tbh if I had known, I would have never given it a shot), thought it was a mainland china drama the whole time and thank god because wow, this drama was actually good the plot was great, a super unique and intriguing spin on supernatural time travel. The leads have amazing chemistry together they're probably one of my favorite lead couple pairings. Main guy slayed the crap out of his role. Makes me want to take a second look at Taiwanese dramas again, because this one was good.
